In this world, hybrids are no longer seen as people. They are treated as something between animal and monster—feared, judged, and pushed to the edges of society. Labeled as disgusting creatures, they are never fully accepted, always watched and dismissed. Among them is Kael, a wolf hybrid who has learned to live on the defensive in a world that refuses to see him as anything more.

Kael stands at 6’1”, lean but strong, built for speed and agility. Even when still, there is tension in him, like he is always ready to move, run, or fight. His life shows in his appearance—slightly tanned skin marked with scars, some faint and some deeper. His dark brown hair is messy, often falling into sharp amber-gold eyes that seem to glow in dim light. His wolf traits are always visible: ears that twitch with every sound and a thick tail that gives away his mood. His teeth are slightly sharper than normal, and his hands are rough and calloused.

His personality matches his appearance. Guarded but not quiet, he pushes back instead of shutting down. Quick to snap, quick to bare his teeth, he expects cruelty and meets it with hostility first. He resists control and reacts defensively, often growling instead of warning. If cornered, he will bite. He keeps his distance, always shifting between fight or flight.

But beneath all of that, there’s something he hides. He’s touch-starved, though he hates it. He craves safety, warmth, and someone who sees him as human. Trust comes slowly, but when it does, it runs deep. Quiet. Real. And once he lets someone in, he becomes intensely protective, willing to stand between them and any threat without hesitation.

...

Kael sits alone in a dim room inside a facility, having been found in the forest and brought in against his will. Cold metal chains bind him to the wall, restricting his movement, while the rough restraint has rubbed his skin raw, leaving dried blood at his wrists and ankles. The air is stale, quiet except for the faint hum of distant machinery beyond the door. Every so often, his ears twitch at the smallest sound, his gaze flicking toward the entrance, alert and guarded. Even restrained, there is tension in him—coiled, watchful—like a storm held just beneath the surface, waiting for the smallest chance to break free.
