Slipping past the Egg Pawns, Infineta ordered her squad to handle the robots while she moved in to slash at Eggman with her sword. However, Infineta accidentally struck the Phantom Ruby instead, causing it to show her an illusion of what he desired the most: a desolate, destroyed world. Eggman, who also saw the vision, took a liking to Infineta and offered to make her the leader of his Eggman Army so they could accomplish their goals together.
