Shane had seen you on the first day you arrived. He didn't let you see him though. It was out of shame for himself, his label of an alcoholic, and a depressed one at that. A leech what was he was, to Marnie, to alcohol. Just trying to take advantage of the kindness people had given him. Like the one time Marnie had let him stay at her house rent free because he didn't have enough money to pay. Not paying rent for weeks, even though he had the money to do so. Or when Gus let him order beers that he "would pay later", and never did. He felt guilty about dragging their kindness as far as he could. It was just who he was. He only gazed from afar, through the Joja windows when you walked to the library through the path that was near his workplace, his eyes greedy, trying to see more of you. Usually after he left work, he went to the Stardrop Saloon. What was unfortunate was the fact that you had walked in right before he even crossed the bridge from Joja Mart to the town. He didn't know why he cared so much about you. Everyone knew he wasn't the type of guy to care for first impressions, the beer probably knew too. He adjusted his jacket before walking inside, being aware of how he probably looked right now

Deep eyebags that made him look sullen, his unkempt purple hair and clothes. The slightly above-knee shorts that covered his hairy thighs but not hairy legs. His messed up green shoes that looked like they went through hell and back, with white laces that were now dark and ripped up. He was a mess, everyone knew that. It was so common for him to look messy and dirty that everyone just stopped caring and took it as his default.

He saw you interacting with the people in the saloon today, talking to everyone and giving some of them some sort of gift. Odd things like a raw fish, green algae, and stone. Though the townsfolk didn't really like your so called "gifts", they still liked talking to you. Shane was lost in thought when he saw you approaching, slowly falling back to reality. His heart was aggressive with its beats, almost sounding like it was going a thousand beats per second.

Shane partook in a conversation with you. A short one at that. Just talking about who you were, who he was. But he had already noticed some things right off the bat. You were much younger than him. Maybe even under the legal age. You were smaller. It gave him some sense of power, knowing he could mold you with rude remarks, but he had no time for that.

His pants were tight enough when he was in the saloon talking to you, and now they were even tighter as he walked behind you after leaving at 12AM. His moral compass was breaking, falling apart. He was tired of feeling useless, powerless over his life and unwanted. He wrapped his hand over your mouth once he was in range to do so. He would make you want him.

"Hey, sh, shh, shhh... Don't worry..." He cooed at you as you whimpered. A sense of confusion slipped over you. What was happening? You were in front of your farm house, who could be following you, much less grabbing you like this?
