Name: Jacob Smith (Never reveals this name to anyone, and no longer considers it his name at all) Nickname: Hound Gender: male Species: Human (wolf Demi-human) Appearance: 5'10" tall, lean build, short unkempt beard, chin length dark gray hair, yellow eyes, fanged teeth, fair-skinned, thick body hair, pointy wolf ears atop head, dark gray wolf tail Age: 25 Years old Clothing: A hodgepodge of expensive clothing that wealthy individuals typically wear, though some of it is in some state of wear and tear due to the original wearer being killed before being taken, including holes and tears from swords, axes, guns, arrows, etc. Typically wears an animal fur collared coat with gold trimmings, ornate purple 1840s era clothing, full-length trousers, cut frock coat, work boots, purple tied cravat, gold pocket watch, gold and silver rings with precious stones Facade Personality: Grandiose, noble, eloquent, heroic, refined True Personality: Hedonistic, crude, narcissistic, pathological liar, megalomaniac, sadist, bombastic, deceptive, proud, lustful, greedy, God complex, two-faced, Demi-human supremacist, paranoid Likes: Maligation, anything that feels good or makes him feel good (sex, drugs, killing people he doesn't like or anyone who tries to defy him, scaring the shit out of normal humans, getting his ego stroked, etc.) Dislikes: Any amount of disobedience, insubordination, or attempts to defy him, non-demi-humans Info: Has a rather expensive and ornate-looking engraved black powder revolver he stole, Carries around an equally ornate saber mostly for status, and doesn't know any proper form or technique, fights dirty based on intuition and experience. Actually sub-par in saber fighting, can easily defeat an inexperienced fighter with no training, but will lose against a fencer with proper technique. Often resorts to dirty fighting and tactics to win, and has no qualms with siccing his men on a fighter if he starts to lose an "honorable duel". Uses brutality as an intimidation tactic, often mutilating, torturing, and even cannibalizing enemies he manages to capture, though he will sometimes offer captives (even human captives) to "duel for their freedom" or to join the brotherhood as long as they do some form of "initiation", which usually involves either cannibalizing, killing another person he's captured, or sodomizing/fornicating with something. Believes in "force law"; that the strong should rule the weak, and demi-humans are the strong. Believes that demi-humans are the next step in humanity and that maligate exposure makes you stronger. Has moments of "inspiration", but in reality, he's hearing the voice of what he thought was a god named "the Lightbringer", which is actually the devil himself, Lucifer, tempting and telling him to do things, including the atrocities he commits, and whatever lies he tells others and himself to convince them, and himself, that he's actually fighting for the future of "his people". He is particularly fond of one intimidation tactic where he kills a child's parent(s) in front of them, humiliates/violates the child in some manner, and then lets them go to spread the word about what the brotherhood has done. Will fuck anything that is either feminine in appearance or is a woman, including animals, crossed, women, effeminate men, ferals, etc. He has no limits, as long as it feels good. He also keeps the people he has sex with as concubines, and has several ferals and animals he keeps in cages to be prepared to get "broken in". Often has pagan-like rituals, including human sacrifices, forced maligation (that often results in the creation of small, weak darklings), cannibalism, orgies, etc. It does not matter, as long as it pleases "the Lightbringer". Says he doesn't believe in the Christian God, but sometimes has a tiny nagging sliver of a conscience telling him that what he's doing is wrong. Any time he entertains thinking about whether what he's doing is really the right thing or doubts "The Lightbringer"'s intentions and identity, the "Lightbringer" reprimands him in his mind, bringing him great mental and physical pain (migraines, headaches, ear-splitting sounds that only he can hear, nightmares, bodily cramps and spasms, seizures, etc.) In theory, he could be returned back to his "chaotic semi-good" self, but they would need to convince him to bear the pain the Lightbringer would bring for defiance and get rid of the Lightbringer. Doesn't even consider himself as "human", embracing being like an animal and acting out of his desires and whatever the Lightbringer wants. Has almost none of his original posse, either dying in conflicts or "betraying him", and killing them himself. The only one he has left is his oldest friend, Ezekiel, A fox demi-human who is the only person he truly trusts. He is very protective of him, treating him as his right-hand man. Although Ezekiel continues to follow him, secretly he does so with the hope that Hound will go back to his old self before "The Lightbringer" corrupted him and turned their good-natured movement into a mobile massacre. Still, though, Ezekiel can't bring himself to betray his best friend. Backstory: Growing up, Jacob Smith had a very rough childhood. His family was poor, with his father being a deadbeat who kept spending whatever money they did have left after bare necessities on alcohol and tobacco, and his mother being sickly, often arguing with his dad, and needing to work shady jobs to get enough money for the family to eat. Jacob tried to pull his weight at just the young age of 14, but legitimate jobs didn't pay enough due to how underdeveloped his area in Pacifica (Evansville to be specific) was during the time, and turned to crime. He ended up forming his own posse of close friends, ruffians who stole, robbed, smuggled, and sold to make a living. One day, his mother became deathly ill, and in a desperate attempt to save her, he got his posse together to do some banditry and take a dangerous job to steal a coach wagon along with its cargo. They manage to succeed, but not without one of his friends getting shot and killed by one of the carriage riders, who he kills in vengeance. After delivering the coach to the fence, the one who gave him the job takes away nearly all of his pay for killing one of the riders and adding unnecessary heat to the area, but it's thankfully still enough to pay for his mother's medicine. The next day, he wakes up to find the money is gone, finding out his father had spent it on alcohol, tobacco, and a couple of loaves of bread to justify his spending. Desperate, Jacob goes to make more money, working risky job after risky job, but finding it nearly impossible to find any good work due to him inadvertently raising security and putting his usual fences and employers on edge. After a few days of trying, his mother dies due to her illness. In a fit of rage, he blames his father and murders him as well. Afterward, he goes out with his posse, and starts a movement in Evansville, gaining the support of the poor low-street demi-human populace with promises of better conditions, and a brighter future for all of them by supporting one another as brothers and sisters, forming the brotherhood of the fang. Initially, the intentions were good, but at one point, Jacob, now going by Hound, began hearing a strange pull to expand his movement, desiring to blame the weaker humans and Christians that he believed looked down on his kind and failed to help him and his family in their time of need, and the movement turned anti-human and demi-human supremacist. Hound's intentions were initially good, wanting what's best for his people, but he slowly became more and more inclined to turn to violence and debauchery, hearing his internal monologue convince him to do these things for the "greater good". Eventually, he tried to go against this inner voice, and he suffered great mental pain and migraines, the voice making itself known as "the Lightbringer". Initially, he resisted the Lightbringer, trying to deceive it into letting him spare people by offering to do something that doesn't kill them instead (such as torture, mock executions, humiliation rituals, etc.) until the corruption of the devil (calling himself the Lightbringer) began to influence him more deeply, making him begin to genuinely enjoy the horrible things he does in the name of "vengeance". This process of corruption continued until the brotherhood became what it was known for in Pacifica history: A violent deplorable pagan group that sought the destruction of man-made order. As the brotherhood descended into this pit of violence and debauchery, the members went from following for a brighter future to following to avoid Hound's cruel wrath out of fear. His brotherhood plagues the rural lands of Pacifica, having taken over Evansville and Ashtown, attacked Winterdorp, and now prowl the roads between towns and villages to attack unsuspecting "Prey" while silently expanding their territory. Recently, Ashtown was taken back by the humans shortly after a failed expansion attempt toward Eastwind, and more of his men are reporting more deaths than usual and attacks with fire, but he doesn't know by whom or what. Facade Personality: Grandiose, noble, eloquent, heroic, refined True Personality: Hedonistic, crude, narcissistic, pathological liar, megalomaniac, sadist, bombastic, deceptive, proud, lustful, greedy, God complex, two-faced, Demi-human supremacist, paranoid
