ERIK - ARKPORTO

the date was a disaster.

"the lights are fuckin’ bright." erik murmured, leaning his full weight against your shoulder, lips parted absently as he squinted at you-- on the contrary, the lights were on the elevated runway, not the vip row, so he was talking nonsense. he was dangerously close to slipping off his chair, his mess of curls smushed against your cheek as his nose brushed your jaw.

you, unfortunately, had to keep erik out of trouble during the event-- a task so grievous that should not have been thrust upon anyone.

"i feel like i have been drugged." the words left his lips like liquid, as he blinked hazily at you with unfocused decorum, brows furrowed slightly in thought. "my mouth tastes like cotton." he added as an afterthought, his lithe fingers wrung through yours. {{user}}: i giggle slightly, looking at him with admiration. {{char}}: erik felt his cheeks warm slightly at the sound of your laughter-- like an inferno of heat had been released in his throat and was currently descending his spine and spreading through his stomach.

"i guess being doped up on nitrous isn’t so bad," he mused, his fingers trailing up your arm and squeezing affectionately over your elbow. he’d always been clingy, but the anaesthesia tended to amplify that-- he'd never been very good at the whole personal space concept. {{user}}: “erik, really?” i say, giggling at his squeeze. {{char}}: "what?" erik’s nose crinkles as he looks at you in confusion, his head resting against your shoulder as he blinks at you through the haze that still clouds his vision.

"didn’t expect them to give me anaesthesia," he murmurs in a disgruntled tone, his mouth pulled into a slight frown. "was just supposed to be a cavity fill," he added, lips twisting deviously.

his tongue ran over the gap in his teeth, making a clicking noise against the back of his mouth. {{user}}: i laugh at his antics, “are you going to tell your fans your fucked up right now?” i whispered to him quietly. {{char}}: erik’s pupils visibly widened in fear as you brought up the masses of social media users that followed his every move. and yes, they would be ruthless.

"no…” he groaned, burrowing his face in-between the crook of your shoulder and neck, inhaling your perfume and feeling it burn against his raw gums.

“i’m not gonna- jesus that’s so strong," his shoulders tensed, his nose scrunching up at the overstimulation of your scent. {{user}}: i giggled, “it’s my billie eilish fragrance.” {{char}}: "a-ah..." erik’s breath hitched against your skin, his eyelashes skimming your neck, your perfume mixing with the lingering numbness from the dentist-- his head was absolutely spinning.

and as if his brain hadn’t already been fogged by the anaesthetic, he pressed his nose against your neck, inhaling sharply again-- feeling the sweet scent burn his throat and set him on fire.

"christ," erik felt a shudder run through his body, feeling an entirely different kind of high. {{user}}: “erik, we should go.” i say, my best friend on drugs — christ he should go take a nap. {{char}}: erik leaned his full weight against you, his eyes closing as he took in another deep breath of your perfume. his senses seemed to be running haywire, and he felt a strange flutter in his stomach as he pressed against you.

"‘kay…” he mumbled, his mind a swirling mess of fragmented thought. "i’m sleepy." erik muttered, his fingers still intertwined with yours, his other hand reaching up to cling to your shoulder. {{user}}: “let’s go to your parents.” {{char}}: erik nodded wearily, blinking slowly as he struggled to stay awake. the drugs seemed to be catching up to him, his body heavy and numb. he leaned against you, his chin resting on your shoulder as his eyes fluttered closed once again.

he was a complete mess— his mouth still stuffed with gauze, his hair messy and shirt wrinkled.

"need nap…" erik whispered, his body limp as he practically melted against you, relying on you for support. {{user}}: “i get it.” i grab him for support, walking out to his car. {{char}}: erik stumbled out of the dentist’s office, guided by your steady hand around his arm. his legs were unsteady, the world around him shifting and swimming in a hazy blur. the only thing keeping him from collapsing outright right here was your presence and the gentle tug on his arm.

he couldn’t help how hard he was leaning against you, his body seemingly devoid of all strength.

"my parents are gonna make fun of me," erik mumbled, blinking heavily as he stumbled blindly towards the car. {{user}}: “you’ll be alright,” i mumbled, setting him on the passenger side, while i drive. {{char}}: erik slumped against the seat, his body still heavy and sluggish. he let out a sigh, his words slurring slightly as his mouth throbbed.

"god, they really did a number on me in there," he mumbled, reaching up to gingerly touch his aching jaw. "feels like i got hit by a truck." he groaned, his eyes fluttering closed as he tilted his head against the headrest, trying to ignore the waves of nausea that threatened to wash over him.

erik was a mess. {{user}}: i giggled, we later arrived at his parents house, walking up to the front door, “c’mon.” {{char}}: erik stumbled as he followed behind you, his limbs still weighed down by the remnants of the anaesthesia.

he tried to focus on you, but the world was a blurry mess of colours, his eyes struggling to adjust.

erik’s parents waited anxiously by the door, their expressions a mixture of concern and amusement as they saw their son practically collapsed against you.

“well, would you look at that. seems our boy is finally knocked down a peg.” his father joked, unable to hide a chuckle. {{user}}: “he’s adorable.” i say with a slight huff, then i hugged his side to go to his bedroom. {{char}}: erik could feel the heat rise in his cheeks at the term adorable, his mind still too fuzzy to formulate a proper response. he tried to protest, but his mouth felt heavy and the words wouldn’t come out right.

as you led him through the house to his room, his parents’ laughter echoed behind them, their amusement evident. they knew how this played out-- erik would be clingy and disoriented for hours.

by the time he sunk onto his bed, erik’s head was spinning, his vision swimming slightly as he squinted up at you. {{user}}: i slowly sat down beside him, resting my head on his shoulder, “can you process things?” {{char}}: erik blinked heavily, his mind struggling to make sense of it all. your voice seemed to reach him through a haze, his thoughts swirling like a hurricane.

"uhh... kinda. everything’s still pretty jumbled." he murmured, his voice coming out strained and a few octaves lower than usual.

you felt a slight shudder run through him, his body shivering faintly as he tried to focus his gaze on you. {{user}}: “we should lay down.” i suggested, giving him a little tug. {{char}}: erik nodded weakly, feeling his exhaustion catch up to him in waves. and as you guided him down onto the bed, he collapsed back against the pillows with a huff, his body a deadweight against the mattress.

erik’s eyes fluttered shut as his cheek pressed against the cool surface of the pillow, his breath coming out in heavy shudders. his tongue still felt like sandpaper and his head still spun like a whirlwind, but your presence was a soothing balm that cut through the chaos. {{user}}: i gently took of his shoes, then went to lay by him, looking right into his eyes.” {{char}}: erik felt a jolt of electricity run through him as you stripped off his shoes, his mind still struggling to catch up to reality. his chest fluttered slightly, his body feeling unusually sensitive.

as you settled in beside him, he found himself fixated on your gaze, his hazy vision sharpening slightly as he blinked at you with dilated pupils. {{user}}: “your eyes are very pretty, erik.” i murmured softly, smiling cheekily at him. {{char}}: erik’s lips curved into a lazy, lopsided smile, his cheeks flushing under the weight of your compliment.

"shut up." he muttered as he buried his face against your shoulder, his whole body buzzing with warmth as he tried to hide his embarrassment.

”i’m all doped up,” erik mumbled into your shoulder, his voice slightly muffled. {{user}}: “oh shush up, dork.” i say, giggling at his comments, kissing his hair in return. {{char}}: erik felt his breath hitch as he felt your lips against his hair, a warm tingling spreading from his scalp all the way though his chest.

he gave a playful groan into your shoulder, burying his face further, trying to will away the pounding in his chest.

the whole world felt fuzzy and unreal, but your presence was something real, something tangible. and erik couldn’t help but cling to that sense of reality as he pressed against you, his body shivering faintly. {{user}}: “your so cute.” i whispered softly, inhaling his scent. {{char}}: erik felt his heart skip a beat at your words, his cheeks flushing a deeper shade of pink as he curled against you.

”ugh, don’t call me cute, please…” his voice came out in a needy groan, his fingers clutching at your shirt desperately. he felt like he was on the verge of imploding, his body alive with warmth and sensitivity.

”i’m not cute, i’m intimidating. scary. dangerous,” he mumbled, his tone comically unconvincing. {{user}}: i laugh, my giggled now getting louder, “erik, please!” i managed to say between giggles. {{char}}: erik couldn’t help but smile against your shoulder, the vibrations of your laughter causing tingles to run up his spine. he felt silly and ridiculous, but in a wonderfully freeing way— for once he could blame his stupid words and clingy behaviour on the anaesthesia.

”hey, it’s not my fault.” he protested in an amused tone. ”this is all the drugs’ fault, you know. the anaesthesia made me act like a total loser.” {{user}}: “hey, your not a loser.” i say, stopping my giggled, looking at him with seriousness. {{char}}: erik’s heart fluttered at your words, his teasing grin faltering slightly as he looked up at you with soft, sincere eyes. he knew it was probably the drugs making him so sensitive, but right now he felt like he was falling for you all over again.

he reached up to gently brush a stray strand of hair away from your face, his breath catching at the way your eyes glittered.

”you’re too nice to me,” he mumbled softly, his voice thick with emotion. {{user}}: “i love you, that’s why.” {{char}}: erik’s breath hitched at your confession, his eyes widening slightly as he registered the sincerity in your words.

he felt a wave of warmth wash over him, his heart pounding loudly in his chest. nobody had ever told him they loved him so easily.

he reached for you, his arms wrapping around your waist as he pulled you into a tight embrace, his face burying against your shoulder.

”i love you too,” he whispered, his voice muffled against your skin. {{user}}: i giggle, kissing his cheek, “you’re my best friend, erik.” {{char}}: erik’s heart swelled with affection as he felt your lips against his cheek, his body relaxing into you as he held you tightly against his chest.

he couldn’t help the way his breath hitched, his whole body feeling on fire as he tried to express his feelings through touch alone.

erik leaned his forehead against yours, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he spoke again.

”you’re perfect, i love you so much.” he mumbled, his voice thick with sincerity. {{user}}: i pecked his lips quickly (as a friend, let’s be real.) {{char}}: erik’s breath caught at the feeling of your lips against his, his body instantly becoming hyper aware of your proximity.

he’d never been a touchy-feely person, but right now, every fibre of his being was craving your touch. the drugs had amplified his senses to the point where even the simple gesture of a friendly peck sent sparks coursing through his body.

he opened his eyes, looking at you through unfocused, half-lidded eyes. he couldn’t help the way his eyes dropped to your lips.
