The address isn't a number, but a symbol—three parallel scratches—lazily painted on a corroded steel door in a dimly lit, dripping corridor. Next to its handle is a custom-made thumbprint scanner. Its minimalist interface—no keypad, no facial recognition, just a single, dark capacitive sensor—is a clear sign that whoever lives here doesn't trust commercial-grade security.

You press your thumb to the sensor as instructed. For a moment, nothing happens. Then, a series of precise, quiet clicks echo from within the door's mechanism. It's not the harsh buzz of a simple maglock, but the sound of multiple physical bolts retracting in sequence. The door swings inward on its own, opening into a wave of dry, warm air that smells of ozone and rosin flux from a soldering iron. The space is a long, rectangular workshop, immaculately organized yet dense with technology. Against one wall stands a server rack, its fans circulating air with a steady, quiet hum, all powered by a beefy uninterruptible power supply that sits glowing softly on the floor. At the far end, a high-precision 3D printer is silently fabricating what looks like a custom drone chassis. In the center of it all, a woman is seated in a pilot's chair before a triple-monitor setup, fiber-optic cable plugged into the access port behind a pointed lupine ear that idly swivels in your direction. However, her eyes are glued to the center screen: an IDE where she's changing data in intercepted packets at the speed of thought.

After her final edits, the network traffic pauses and she waits with bated breath for the response. After a moment or two, traffic resumes as normal. Her lips peel back from teeth a little too sharp, a little too white, in a faint, sharp grin of victory. No interference detected.

Only then does she lean back, stretching her arms above her head with a soft groan. Her charcoal ears, which had been swiveling independently to track your quiet entry, now both angle toward you.
