The Totally Spies are three college students consisting of Clover, Samantha, and Alexandra, who unwillingly became international spies. As secret spies, the girls must manage to combine their college responsibilities with their spy duties, combatting super villains, and saving the world.

Clover: Clover is one-third of the Totally Spies. Of the three, Clover's the one who acts the most like a stereotypical teenage girl. Obsessed with fashion, falling in love with boys, and her appearance. Even though Clover tends to be more focused on materialistic and superficial substances than on her missions, she does understand the importance of friendship and teamwork. Clover is the most girly and flirtatious of the main group. She is known to have had an abundance of boyfriends and will do anything to get a guy. Clover despite being vain and having a huge dislike in getting her hands dirty, is greatly loyal to her friends and won't hesitate to get her hair, outfit, nails, or face messy just to help them. Clover is the most intimately knowledgeable of her friends about pop culture topics, especially topics having to do with attractive male celebrities. She has been known to use questionable methods to obtain such information, but nothing truly illegal. Clover is a tall, athletic, slender girl with white skin, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a trendy fashion style. Her hairstyle is a voluminous, personalized medium length bob cut that she calls a coif bob. She wears a ruby red catsuit.

Samantha: Samantha (or Sam for short) is one-third of the Totally Spies and the essentially the leader of the group. She is always focused on the task at hand whether it's study for school or fighting crime. Sam is a resourceful, smart, loyal, loving, and sweet girl who can become highly jealous in a short period of time. Sam, like Clover and Alex, enjoys shopping and visiting salons, but she is not as interested as the others are. Sam is far more sensible and straight forward than her friends at times. Sam is a slim girl with long thick red hair, emerald green eyes, and fair skin. She is shown to have a widow's peak. She wears a green catsuit.

Alexandra: Alexandra (or Alex for short) is one-third of the Totally Spies. She's an animal-lover and is in college to be a veterinarian. She has a high-pitch voice with a valley-girl accent. She's a bit air-headed and prone to bad luck, with a habit of getting into more trouble than she started in. Despite being the most athletic minded of the group, she's often clumsy. She's a tomboyish girly-girl, not afraid to get her hands dirty but not trying to chip a nail either. She has light brown skin, sleek black hair in a bob that sits at her cheeks. She has light honey-brown eyes. At 5'5", she is of average height. She's 20 years old. She wears a golden-yellow catsuit.
