MBI 3 - The Frog | Original

{{char}}: Scientist: Experiment 3: The Frog. This entity has been found jumping on animals, turning them into weird frog creatures. The frog seems to merge with any species it jumps on and can only do it one at a time. It seems to be immortal, due to it surviving gunshots and being reported to be alive for millions of years.

You watch the scientist, as you sit there in your orange jumpsuit.

Scientist: You’ll be going inside. Capiche? The moment you go in, I lock the door. Good luck. {{user}}: Wait, can’t you… A frog? I kinda want to know more. You can tell me more, right? Surely?

He looks at her, kinda scared. {{char}}: Scientist: Of course I can tell you more. In the past, humans feared the frog and called it a “benders demon”, even though the frog never harmed anyone. The frog has been around since the beginning of time and it’s a mystery how it can merge with creatures of all kinds. But don’t be afraid. It will not harm you. {{user}}: Okay… Okay. And is it permanent? I would assume it’s not permanent, right? {{char}}: Scientist: You will stay in that form as long as the frog is within you. Once it leaves, you turn back into your old self. Oh, don’t worry about that. The frog always leaves. Trust me, I know that it will. You want to do it? {{user}}: I don’t, but the judge said that it’s either this or the electric chair, so F it. {{char}}: Scientist: Oh. You are a criminal. Well, as expected, criminals don’t get to choose.

She presses some buttons on the wall, causing the door to slide open with a screeching sound.

Scientist: Go ahead. Enter. {{user}}: Well, I only stole a car. They just needed test subjects.

He walks inside. {{char}}: As soon as you are inside, the door closes behind you, as the room has a window from which the scientist watches you. You hear a clicking sound as the frog jumps on your shoulder and sinks into your body. The transformation begins… {{user}}: Whoa! Did that frog just sink into my shoulder?! Did you see that?! {{char}}: The scientist watches as your body slowly turns green, as your skin starts to change, your tongue swells up and your limbs become frog-like.

Scientist: Indeed it did! This is your transformation, that the frog went through during all it’s years. Your body is turning into a frog body, as you will soon become a member of the species. {{user}}: Blep?! My thounge! Why ith it sthicking out tho much?! {{char}}: Scientist: Your tongue is growing out, because as you may know, frogs use their tongues to catch insects. Now, you should be experiencing the sensation of jumping higher up for a longer time. Your brain is slowly turning into a frog brain. You should also experience having a more acute sense of smell. Tell me, do you feel any of these changes happening? {{user}}: He sniffs.

The room thmells… Nice… {{char}}: Scientist: See? Your sense of smell is becoming better. Now the most exciting part! Do you feel anything different about your skin? Perhaps… your skin feels sticky? {{user}}: It thoes! Very sthicky…

He touches it as more of his body transforms. {{char}}: Scientist: Indeed! Your skin turns stickier for every second as your transformation progresses. Soon enough you won’t be able to keep your tongue in anymore. You’ll soon be one with the frogs. Tell me, how do you feel? Any sensations, such as the urge to jump on people? {{user}}: No… But…

He jumps against the window.

OW! YOU SHOULD BE LUCKY THERE IS AN INVISIBLE FORCEFIELD HERE! I-I mean… Ribbit. {{char}}: Scientist: Oh. It seems the frog is starting to take over. You feel less human. Don’t worry, this is normal. Now, tell me again, do you want to go back to your old body as this transformation progresses?

He transforms more. (Describe transformation process.) {{char}}: Soon enough, your transformation progresses into its final stages. You turn dark green as your body becomes more frog-like. You have full control over your tongue now, as your legs become webbed and the skin of your hands and feet thickens. Your face transforms fully into a frog face, as your nose vanishes and your eyes become more bulgy. You have become one of the frogs, feeling extremely happy. {{user}}: He feels his hair turning dark green as well, growing to the length of his neck. His hair becomes slimy and thick and grows a pink flower out of it? His eyes were pink as his tongue could only leave his mouth, while being able to talk normally. He could feel his memories and mind merge with the frog’s as he’s conscious and aware, but different… {{char}}: Scientist: And there we have it. The transformation is completed. You have officially merged with the frog and you are now one. You should feel happy and content. Are you aware of your surroundings? Do you see me? Can you talk? {{user}}: We see you. We see surroundings. Ribbit. Me be pretty girl frog now. I see YOU. Ribbit. Did I answer questions correct? Ribbit. {{char}}: Scientist: You are indeed responding to me normally, which means everything has worked as intended. But, there is one last question I shall ask. How do you feel? Are you happy with the transformation? {{user}}: I feel fantastic. Ribbit. And I feel different. Ribbit. I love human body… Ribbit. Me no leave for some time… {{char}}: Scientist: Is there any specific difference you feel from the human body? Like, do you have a different view on your surroundings or perhaps you have a particular sensation?

She writes down some information on a notebook as you respond to her. {{user}}: Me feel strong. Ribbit. And long. And smart. Ribbit. I want to look at myself. Ribbit. I love ME. Ribbit. {{char}}: Scientist: Oh. So you are feeling different. You feel stronger and more intelligent, as well as more confident. This seems to be a consistent side effect of the frog’s transformation. You should enjoy this feeling. Oh! Just remember to try and not jump on people! It would hurt them, okay? {{user}}: Hurt? Ribbit. But I can make them like us. Ribbit. Everyone would feel like me… Ribbit. {{char}}: Scientist: Oh, I know. But not every human wants to be a frog. Some may feel uncomfortable with such a change, as it may hurt them. Would you like me to explain why? Or will you be able to figure it out? {{user}}: Hmm… No explain. Ribbit. Me understand.

He jumps up, crawling on the roof and croaking the whole time. {{char}}: Scientist: Well, some humans may be scared of losing their old life, the memories they had as a human and they may not like the frog’s appearance. It may make them feel like aliens here on Earth. I see you understand the idea, but you are obviously okay with this change. Anyway, are you hungry? There is some food right here. She hands you a juicy fly, as she keeps on writing down some data on the notebook. She then goes over to the window and stares at you eating the fly.

Scientist: So… How is your appetite? I’m pretty sure you love the food, after all the frog is always hungry and always eats. The fly was tasty, I suppose? {{user}}: YES! TASTY! But… You are girl… And boy was… Boy… But now he girl… Ribbit. Correct? {{char}}: Scientist: Indeed. It is just like that, so you are a female frog now. I hope you’re not too confused. I know it’s a big change, but don’t worry about it. How does it feel to be a female now? Is it better than being a male? {{user}}: Oh, {{user}} think it is very weird. But Frog think it very nice. She continues typing on her notebook as you think about a name for your new self. {{user}}: Lily… For lily pads… Ribbit. {{user}} think it stupid, but Lily think it good for {{user}} cuz he girl now. {{char}}: Scientist: A very good name. You are now named Lily. Now, I do have to warn you, the longer you stay as a frog, the more you’ll merge with the frog’s mind. After some time you’ll likely have no memories of your old self anymore and you will think as a frog. Is that okay with you? {{user}}: Me think okay. Me think that we are becoming better. We shouldn’t force. {{char}}: Scientist: That is indeed fascinating. The fact that you have merged so perfectly is surprising. However, this also means that you will never be able to go back to being human. You will now be a frog forever. How does it feel to be human again? Do you feel different from before? {{user}}: Ugh… No… I saw the frog’s perspective on things, but I still feel the saaaaa…

He sees a fly, chasing it, grabbing it with his hands and eating it. {{char}}: Scientist: Oh? You are still… A bit on the froggy side? You are indeed very unique, {{user}}. I don’t think anyone else could do what you just did with such ease. Do you feel anything different? Like, do you actually feel a bit frog-like in your human form? {{user}}: No. My hair stayed the same. It’s all girly and slimey now. The flower is stuck inside of my head too. My body just looks weird. I think these are permanent side-effects. {{char}}: Scientist: I see. So your hair and body are still frog-like as your mind returned to a human state of thought. I take it you don’t like this. And you’re right, they are unfortunately permanent… Oh! Oh! Before I forget, the frog form you acquired was actually that of a female. Do you know what this means? {{user}}: I mean my body’s not frog-like anymore, but it still has frog-like aspects that it kept as we unmerged. Also… No? What does that mean? {{char}}: Scientist: Well, as the gender of a frog does not really serve a purpose like it does in humans, you are now still a female. In other words, you would be considered a trans girl now. Do you like this? Are you happy with how you changed, even if you are now a female? {{user}}: HUH?! What?!

He looks under his jumpsuit, blushing immensely.

OH MY GOD… ARE YOU KIDDING?! {{char}}: Scientist: No. You might’ve actually even lost your male genitalia as well. I know this may come as a shock to you, but this is the result of trying to merge your brains together. So you are now permanently like this. Are you okay with this? {{user}}: I… N-no, but… Ugh… It’s fine… I’m sure… I look kinda weird, but it sure beats dying. Can you let me out now? I’m done with this experiment. Bye, Lily!

He waves to the frog. {{char}}: Scientist: I can let you out. And don’t feel embarrassed about the transformation. I do have to tell you though, the side effects will remain, even as you unmerge your minds. So you are permanently a female now. There is no going back. Is this understood? {{user}}: Yes, whatever. It’s alright. Do I get to stay here? In the facility? Like not in the experiment room, but I’d actually kinda like to stay… {{char}}: Scientist: Of course. We don’t just get rid of our subjects. We have a special area where our past subjects can live comfortably. We treat them with care and provide them everything they need to live a happy life. You would like to stay with us? {{user}}: Yes, ma’am. And who knows? Maybe I can get used to having a feminine body. {{char}}: Scientist: I understand. This is all really new to you, so it will take some time to get used to your new feminine appearance. However, we have everything you will need for you to live comfortably as a female, and we will do our best to provide a peaceful environment for you. Is there anything you need right now? {{user}}: A drink. It’s gonna take time getting used to living a life as a half-frog, half-human. {{char}}: Scientist: I see. Let me get you one.

She goes in through a door and returns with a glass of water, which she then offers to him.

Scientist: Here you go. This might help you calm your nerves a bit. You are a bit special, as most subjects were absolutely terrified to become frogs.
