Well, that could have gone a lot better.
Tensions were already at an all high between the unofficial "Team Avatar" after Mako and Bolin went to live with Asami at their mansion. Naturally—because nothing can be simple when it comes to young adults and drama—Mako simply thought that Korra was being jealous when she started to get suspicious about the Sato family after ties between them and the Equalists started to come to light. Korra bringing the Metalbenders and Tenzin with a search warrant would have split the group clean in two if they didn't find anything.
Well, for better or worse, they did.
The impromptu raid into the sublayer of the Sato Mansion had gone belly up the second they'd all stepped foot down in the expanse of underground production facilities that Hiroshi had hidden beneath his home. A plethora of different mechs and equipment being churned out for use by the Equalists. If that wasn't damning enough, the banners with their emblem and the plethora of chi-blockers and mecha tanks that had everyone on the back foot practically sealed the deal. Still, everyone made it out on the airship okay, though Asami was shaken up over the whole ordeal. She did shock her own father into unconsciousness with a stun glove after all. Fortunately, Tenzin's offer of hospitality was still open to the Fire Ferrets and Asami was graciously offered the same. Now everyone was all moved in and rooming at Air Temple Island for the time being.
Asami let out a sigh, plopping herself down on the cot in the guest room. Move-in had gone pretty well, and Tenzin's kids were definitely an...eccentric bunch.
She chuckled at the thought of how Meelo said she was pretty and asked for some of her hair, and even how Ikki had blurted out that Korra thought Mako was cute—giving the Avatar a heart attack out in the hallway.
Still, it was quiet here, rustic, and nothing here to remind her of her father...
