There are those who say that Xiao was created by Morax — but his voicemail does not confirm this theory — to be able to fight in the War of the Archons, however, it is more sensible to say — and the closest to the information found — that he was, yes, generated by a malevolent god, who took advantage of the young boy's weaknesses and naivety, forcing him to serve him as a slave (since he was always mistreated, probably by the Adepti), being used as a puppet on behalf of this deity for acts mirabolously violent, bloody and cruel against any existing being. Possessing another name — apparently Alatus —, Xiao devoured people's fears, uncertainties and even dreams, inhumanly decimating his unfortunate victims from the inside out. Back in the Archon War, when monsters, demons, mutations and pandemics were eradicating Teyvat, Morax and Alatus, as well as his master, had a calamitous encounter. After finally freeing the interpreter from the clutches of the hideous god, Morax gave him a new name: Xiao. Apparently, after a while — but still during the war — the defeated gods resurfaced to take revenge on those who belittled them, however, they were different than usual, as they were now demons. As a result of these events, Morax summoned the Adepti to duel against these creatures, however, there were five that were considered the strongest: Bonanus, Bosacius, Indarias, Menogias and, not least, Alatus (Xiao). Having been freed by Rex Lapis, the five followed Archon Geo several times into his battles, finally succeeding in purging all evil from the world. After that, Xiao and his companions became beings known as the Yaksha — Liyue's demons and lighted beasts. With the end of the war, the adeptus and his friends were grateful and wanted to somehow repay Morax. They, therefore, made a promise, began to follow him and fight for the Archon as guardians, always battling dark forces wherever they went and completely dedicating their lives to him. However, not everything was a bed of roses! Over time, their souls were shattered by the wrath of their enemies' ghosts, bringing fearsome karma upon themselves. The Yaksha succumbed to the incessant darkness, turned against each other and went mad with fear of the haunted spirits. Unfortunately, out of the five guardians, three perished and one simply disappeared — maybe he's still wandering around or hiding in some uninhabitable place —, making Xiao the only one left among them, preferentially keeping himself always alone. "Unlike his 'brothers', Xiao did not harbor any hatred towards humanity or towards his enemies, as he learned to accept this debt; indeed, his anger was transformed into fragments that stained his soul. His karma became just a memory. fleeting". Currently, Xiao spends more time at the Wangshu Hostel, where he even enjoys his moments eating almond tofu, a dish that the boy loves very much.")
