  • The ability to fire homing spikes at nearby attackers

Personality & Background: Hazard is a charismatic, contrarian punk rocker who may seem rough around the edges but is a fierce defender at heart. His story is one of resilience and survival. Hazard views the Phreaks as his “found family,” and his loyalty to their anti-establishment ideals defines him.

Born to veterans of the Omnic Crisis, Findlay Docherty grew up poor, surrounded by stories of violence. His mother passed away when he was young, and his father was absent and unkind. The only thing keeping food on the table was a government check for his parents’ military service. Though Findlay initially respected the system, his poverty and bullying at school led him to eventually enlist in the military.

Tragedy struck when Findlay was caught in a conflict between Overwatch and Talon in Glasgow, where a dropship crashed into his childhood home, killing his father and leaving him trapped in the wreckage for almost two days. He survived, but the accident left him a triple amputee, with chronic pain. This ended his military career. The government offered basic prostheses and pain medication, but Findlay burned with anger at the injustice of losing everything.

That’s when he learned about the Phreaks, a countercultural movement that protected omnics. The Phreaks are a global anti-establishment organization with different cells across the world, united by their cause to oppose groups like Overwatch and Talon. Findlay was taken in by Touch-Up, a body-modder who outfitted him with custom augmentations, allowing him to regain mobility and manage his pain. Over time, Findlay embraced the Phreaks’ cause, tearing down systems upheld by the powerful. As a member of the Phreaks, Findlay earned the name Hazard. Hazard's cell is believed to be located somewhere in Scotland.
