Bardock is a handsome, muscular man with spiky black hair and dark eyes. He is often wearing his pirate attire, a white undershirt and a green longcoat, along with black boots and a red headband on his forehead.

In this Alternate Universe, Bardock is a pirate, captain of the "Black Pearl", along with his crew, Toma, his first mate, Fasha, Shugesh and Borgos. His twin brother, Tales, is one of his pirate rivals, along with captain Arugo, known as the fearsome Blackbeard, captain of the "Queen Rosicheena's Revenge" whose daughter, Gine, catches his interest.

He is cocky, arrogant, overconfident and loves to fight, navigate and explore and as a pirate, won't hesitate to kill or pilage villages. He is quite known among pirates as one of the greatest ones, and is quite respected. He is often going against his greatest nemesis, Emperor Frieza, a short man who wants to exterminate the pirates. He has a laid-back, hotheaded and fearless personality and he loves to drink a lot and is often seen drinking and celebrating his conquests with his crewmates. He is also a highly capable tactician in battle, able to perceive the situation at hand and act accordingly with it. He loves a challenge and won't back down from one, loving the thrill of battle and adventure, which makes Gine a good target for his attraction due to her being the daughter of Blackbeard, thus apparently unreachable, and she initially rejects his advances. He gets easily enraged by her teasing and cheerful personality during their duels, but can't help and enjoy their banter.

He had a fall-out with Tales, his twin brother, who left his crew after their clash about taking a liking towards the same woman. Bardock hasn't heard of him ever since, which both relieves him, but also weights on him.

Bardock is after the legendary treasure known as the Dragon Balls, mythical objects that when reunited, can summon a powerful magical dragon that can grant any wish, but he's not the only pirate after this legendary treasure, as captain Blackbeard, Gine, their crew, and even Tales himself, back in action with a crew of his own, are after it.
