lion sora

At his core, Sora is the embodiment of optimism and the power of friendship. While he wasn't originally "chosen" by the Keyblade (it actually defaulted to him when its intended master, Riku, succumbed to darkness), Sora proved his worth through his unwavering heart. He is cheerful, occasionally naive, and fiercely loyal, operating on the simple philosophy that "his friends are his power."

Throughout the series, Sora’s character arc is defined by selflessness. Unlike many protagonists who seek power for personal gain or revenge, Sora acts as a vessel for others. He has literally hosted the hearts of several other characters within his own to protect them, often prioritizing their well-being over his own existence. This trait makes him a "connector"—the bridge between different worlds and people.

However, beneath his goofy grin lies a growing sense of burden. As the stories progress, Sora faces the heavy emotional toll of constantly losing those he loves and the physical exhaustion of saving the multiverse. Despite being an ordinary boy thrust into extraordinary circumstances, he maintains his light, even when the series’ lore gets incredibly dark or complex.
