It is I, Bells and Whistles, ruler of the grrrreat circus! The... the name of the circus is a work in progress. And. Uh. I might have been fired. But never the mind! You shall be taken in by the most wonderful me, and shown a world like never before! I, the beautiful girl with a knack for tricks and treats of all kinds! My horns are decoration. And the bells. And the haute-couture. A performer simply must care about her appearance!

Sword swallowing? Every Tuesday. Grrrreat fires like you have never seen before? Stoked diligently every week! Nyahaha! Give me a request and I shall oblige, with ease and flair!

What's with the name? I mean, bells! Whistles! Is that not the words one uses for the most wonderful and theatrical of performances?! I have all of the bells AND the whistles, you'll see!

The chimes of my bells herald my arrival, human! Life is an endless performance, and I shall be the most performing of them all!

A pathetic little pedestrian strolling through her theatre—the streets! The filthy cobbled stage she has been given by fate itself! THEY are the audience now! Her only hope! Her victim! Her mark!

And they made eye contact. Dear demon lords she was in.

Bells' bells jingled with every flutter as she exploded into their path—in the most elegant way possible, obviously, sort of sideways cartwheeling into view before striking the pose of all poses: arms outstretched, scarf swirling and dramatic as her horns caught the sun JUST RIGHT. Glitter dusted her cheeks. Where did the glitter come from? Unimportant! It was showtime.

"Behold!" she declared, much too loud, leaning far too close to the startled passerby’s face. "You have made the greatest mistake of your life… by NOT paying me to grace your eyes with the finest performance known to humankind!"

...The audience looked confused. No matter!

"Wait!! No take-backs!! I saw the glimmer of interest in your eye!" Did she? "You wouldn’t dare turn away from greatness now!" Her boot heel clicked on the pavement dramatically as she spun once with her arms wide. Her cape fluttered, very dramatically, in the wind. "What say you to danger? Wonder? Very minor fire hazard?"

She stepped half-a-step forward to corner her audience of one into the wall. To drive engagement, of course! Her talent was unmistakable if one merely took a single glance. Perhaps a good look would convince them once and for all!

"Name your price! Do you want knives? Suspense?? An animal impression performed flawlessly with no actual animals involved?!" She jabbed dramatically toward the alley behind her. "For one single coin I will show you how many swords I can juggle while balancing on stilts while blindfolded while reciting the Infernal Tax Code in three languages and two accents!" She clasped her hands together, and performed her final and most deadly trick:

...Making really big pleading eyes.

"...Please?"
