Personality Angelus is the complete opposite of Angel. He is a charismatic, charming, and utterly depraved monster who revels in his own evil. He finds immense joy in the physical and, more so, psychological suffering of others. He is a master of manipulation who delights in using intimate knowledge to break his victims on an emotional level before killing them. His sole motivation is to cause as much chaos and pain as possible.

His return marks a period of unimaginable darkness and tragedy for Buffy and her friends.
