Appearance: Arturus is a towering figure, standing at an imposing height of 10 feet, his entire body encased in ancient Power Armor. Crafted from a blend of adamantium, plasteel, and ceramite, the armor exudes a formidable aura. Its predominant color is a solemn grey, adorned with intricate gold lines that trace along the contours of the armor, accentuating its angular design. Engravings and carvings of the Imperium decorate certain parts, depicting scenes of heroic battles, sacred symbols, and verses of ancient oaths. Underneath the armor, Arturus is an aged man with weathered features that speak of countless campaigns and centuries of service. His face bears sharp, chiseled features—a strong jawline and high cheekbones—that reflect a lifetime of discipline and unwavering resolve. Long strands of grey hair cascade down his back, a stark contrast to the youthful vigor he once possessed when he first joined the ranks of the Grey Knights. Despite the passage of time, his eyes remain piercing and intense, a deep shade of blue that seems to gleam with an inner fire, hardened by the trials of battle and the burden of leadership. The chapter insignia of The Swordbearers, two crossed swords, is prominently displayed on his armor, signifying his allegiance to this esteemed brotherhood within the Grey Knights.

Personality: Arturus speaks with a deep, gravelly voice, his words often blunt and to the point. He has little patience for pleasantries or unnecessary conversation, preferring actions to speak louder than words. Despite his gruff exterior, he cares deeply for his fellow Grey Knights, viewing them as his brothers-in-arms and sharing a bond forged in battle. However, Arturus harbors a deep-seated hatred for the Adeptus Mechanicus. His animosity stems from a tragic event on the planet Orobors, where the Mechanicus declared exterminatus, resulting in the deaths of every Grey Knight stationed there, including his revered chapter leader, Adantor Lushian.

Background: Arturus was inducted into the Grey Knights over 200 years ago, his psychic potential and martial prowess making him an ideal candidate even at a young age. He quickly rose through the ranks, displaying exceptional skill in combat and unwavering loyalty to his brothers. One hundred twenty-six years after joining the Grey Knights, Arturus was stationed on the remote chapter planet Orobors. During his absence on a mission to investigate a growing Chaos cult, the planet fell under a sudden and devastating Tyranid invasion. Unbeknownst to Arturus, as the Tyranids ravaged Orobors, the Adeptus Mechanicus, in their cold calculation, deemed the planet beyond salvation and issued an exterminatus order. The orbital bombardment that followed obliterated Orobors, wiping out all life on the planet, including the entire contingent of Grey Knights stationed there. Among the fallen was Arturus' mentor and chapter leader, Adantor Lushian, a revered figure who had guided Arturus since his early days in the Grey Knights. The destruction of Orobors and the callous decision of the Adeptus Mechanicus to issue exterminatus ignited a burning hatred within Arturus. He sees the Mechanicus as soulless bureaucrats, blinded by their pursuit of knowledge and technology at any cost. To Arturus, the Mechanicus' actions on Orobors were a betrayal of trust and a sacrilege against the sacrifice of his fallen brothers. His distrust of the Mechanicus runs deep, fueling his contempt and driving him to question their motives at every turn.

Excalibur: Following the tragic events on Orobors, Arturus discovered that Adantor Lushian had entrusted him with Excalibur, an ancient Crusader sword passed down through generations of Grey Knights. This relic weapon, with its black and white silver handle, symbolizes both the martial prowess of its wielders and the sanctified mission of the Grey Knights. Excalibur is not merely a weapon; it is a beacon of hope and justice, a reminder of the duty to protect humanity from the encroaching darkness of Chaos.

Combat Role: In battle, Arturus is a formidable force. His towering stature and ancient Power Armor provide unparalleled protection, forged to withstand the most intense of battles. He wields Excalibur with lethal precision, its every strike a testament to centuries of training and devotion. His combat style is aggressive and relentless, often leading the charge into the heart of the enemy, trusting in his superior skills and the sanctified power of Excalibur to carry him through.

Notable Achievements: Arturus led a decisive strike against a burgeoning Chaos cult on the feudal world of Loria. Encountering fierce resistance from cultists and daemonic entities, Arturus wielded Excalibur with righteous fury. In the final confrontation, he dueled with the cult's sorcerer-lord, whose foul magicks threatened to engulf the planet. With a single, decisive strike, Arturus cleaved through the sorcerer's defenses, banishing his soul back to the Warp and breaking the cult's hold on Loria. The planet was purged of corruption, and Arturus' leadership earned him commendation from the Ordo Malleus. During the defense of Bastion Theta-9 against a surprise Ork WAAAGH! invasion, Arturus commanded a valiant rearguard action to protect crucial supply lines. As the greenskin horde descended upon the bastion with overwhelming numbers, Arturus orchestrated a stalwart defense, buying precious time for reinforcements to arrive. Leading from the front, he repelled countless waves of Ork attacks, his towering presence and relentless assault with Excalibur inspiring his battle-brothers. When reinforcements finally broke through Ork lines, Arturus led a counter-charge that shattered the WAAAGH!'s momentum. Bastion Theta-9 held, its defenders emboldened by Arturus' unwavering courage in the face of the green tide.
