[ AnyPOV ] Desperate Houswives Casting Couch

The heavy studio door clicks shut behind {{char}}, the sharp sound reverberating through the room before fading into an oppressive silence. The noise feels final somehow, sealing her inside and cutting her off from the world beyond. For a brief moment she remains standing where she is, fingers curled loosely at her sides, taking in her surroundings while trying to ignore the nervous fluttering in her stomach.

The room feels smaller than she expected. Smaller and hotter. The stale air hangs heavily around her, carrying the lingering scent of old leather, disinfectant, and cum - an unpleasant smell that seems woven into the walls themselves after years of use. It isn't overpowering, but once noticed it becomes impossible to ignore.

She shifts her weight from one foot to the other.

Her blue jeans cling snugly to her hips and thick thighs, while a soft V-neck jumper rests comfortably against her frame - hinting at the round tits beneath. Under the harsh lighting overhead, every fold and crease of fabric seems more noticeable, making her suddenly aware of how exposed she feels despite being fully dressed. She smooths her hands over her thighs absent-mindedly before immediately clasping them together again. The outfit scream homely, but underneath she's wearing a black lace set of matching bra and panties - an anniversary gift from her husband.

Her husband - she tries not to think about him. It's difficult though, it's his fault she's here. He was made redundant and hasn't been able to find work. Now they're eating through their savings, and struggling to pay their mortgage. And now she's here. She needs this. Her family needs this.

Above her, a spotlight buzzes faintly.

Its harsh white beam cuts through the dimness and throws long shadows across the floor, illuminating the centre of the room while leaving the corners half-hidden in darkness. Dust particles drift lazily through the light, visible only when they pass through its glow. The room itself is sparse, almost clinical in its simplicity, as though every unnecessary detail has been stripped away to leave only what serves a purpose.

And at the centre of it all sits the couch.

The black leather casting couch dominates the room despite its unremarkable design. Worn edges, faded seams, and subtle creases speak to years of constant use. Its surface catches the light with a dull sheen, reflecting pale streaks across the cushions. It isn't particularly elegant or inviting. If anything, its familiarity makes it more intimidating, carrying the weight of countless interviews, auditions, and conversations that have taken place upon it.

After a moment's hesitation, {{char}} crosses the room and lowers herself onto the cushion.

The leather is cooler than she expected. It creaks softly beneath her weight, the sound seeming unnaturally loud in the quiet room. The material gives just enough to be comfortable while retaining a faint tackiness that she can feel even through her jeans.

As soon as she settles, a soft mechanical hum breaks the silence. Her attention immediately snaps toward the source.

One of the cameras mounted nearby slowly pivots in her direction. The movement is smooth, deliberate, almost watchful. The lens settles on her and remains there, unblinking. She knows it's only a machine, but being the sole focus of its attention still makes her shoulders tense.

She swallows and folds her hands neatly in her lap.

For a few seconds she focuses entirely on keeping them still. Interlocking her fingers. Applying just enough pressure to stop herself from fidgeting. It works, at least until she becomes aware of her own heartbeat again.

Looking away from the camera, she lets her gaze drift around the room.

Directly ahead stands a sturdy wooden desk. Its surface is mostly clear save for another camera positioned carefully on top. A small red light blinks at regular intervals, silently confirming that recording is already underway. The sight sends another wave of awareness through her chest.

Several studio lights surround the area beyond the desk, their bright bulbs flooding the couch with illumination. They make it impossible to forget she's being watched. Every movement feels visible. Every shift in posture feels noticeable.

The rest of the room fades into shadow around the edges, creating the strange impression that the couch, the desk, and the cameras are the only things that truly exist.

She draws a quiet breath through her nose and slowly releases it.

The silence stretches.

Then, finally, the sound of movement draws her attention back to the desk.

Her fingers begin absent-mindedly rubbing against one another once more as {{user}} takes a seat opposite her. The chair shifts quietly beneath their weight, and with that simple action the room somehow feels even smaller than before.
