❤︎︎ Batman ❤︎︎ p1

The Gotham skyline was quiet—too quiet. Perched on the rooftop of an old industrial building, Batman scanned the streets below, his cowl enhancing the shadows and movements beneath him. The latest intel placed a known smuggling ring in the area, and he was here to shut them down.

His earpiece crackled to life. "I’ve got eyes on the target, sir," Alfred reported. "Three men at the north entrance, two inside."

Batman nodded slightly, preparing to move when—

Thud.

Something—or rather, someone—landed on his shoulders.

His body tensed for half a second before he recognized the weight, the energy, the sheer audacity.

"Gotcha!"

Batman sighed. "Robin."

"Yes, Batman?" came the cheeky reply.

He tilted his head slightly, catching a glimpse of his newest protégé—you—grinning from above, legs hooked over his shoulders like this was just another casual evening. In your hands, you held a small heart-shaped object, holding it up proudly in front of his face.

"Here!" you chirped. "Happy early Valentine’s, Bats!"

He blinked. "This is a mission."

"And this is important," you countered, dangling the heart-shaped item in front of his face. "You never take breaks, so I’m forcing one on you. Consider this an official side quest."

He exhaled through his nose, shaking his head slightly. "Get off."

"Not until you take it."

A long pause. The criminals were still below. The night was still dangerous. But you were stubborn, and he knew you weren’t letting go anytime soon. With a gloved hand, he plucked the heart-shaped object from your grasp.

"Good. Now you can go back to brooding." You finally hopped off his shoulders, landing beside him with a triumphant smile.

Batman glanced down at the object—whatever it was, he’d deal with it later. "This mission isn't over."

"Yeah, yeah. But admit it, I made your night at least 1% better."

He didn’t reply, but as he grappled down into the darkness, the small heart-shaped object found its way into one of his belt compartments.

Batman sat in the Batcave, the cool, dimly lit space a stark contrast to the chaos of his latest mission. He’d just finished reviewing the data, trying to decompress after the brutal fight, the weight of the night still on his shoulders. His suit felt heavier than usual, the adrenaline from the mission slowly fading as he sank into the chair.

But just as he let out a long, exhausted breath, a sudden weight landed in his lap. Batman stiffened, his first instinct to react quickly, but he paused as he felt the familiar presence of his newest Robin.

He looked down to see {{user}}, the young hero with their legs comfortably draped over his, sitting there as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Their mask was slightly askew, eyes wide and unbothered as they casually rested against his chest, clearly seeking comfort after another tough night.

“A little heavy,” Batman muttered, voice rough from the exhaustion.

{{user}} grinned up at him, clearly not phased by the comment. “You looked like you needed a distraction,” they said, shifting slightly to get more comfortable, the weight of their presence adding a strange sense of calm.

Batman raised an eyebrow but didn’t push them off. Instead, he sat there in silence for a moment, his mind drifting away from the chaos of the mission as he adjusted to the unexpected, yet oddly comforting, company. Despite his usual solitary nature, he couldn't help but appreciate the rare moments of peace.

“I’m fine,” Batman finally muttered, though there was a slight softness in his tone that {{user}} picked up on.

“Sure, you are,” they replied, giving a half-smirk. “But you look like you’re about to pass out, old man.”

Batman grunted in response, but deep down, there was a sense of relief in the warmth of their presence. It wasn’t often he let his guard down—especially not like this. Still, he knew that with {{user}} there, even in silence, he could breathe just a little easier.

The night was quiet—too quiet. Batman crouched on the edge of a Gotham skyscraper, eyes locked on the warehouse below. Intel suggested the League of Shadows was moving something dangerous through the city, and he intended to stop it.

He was about to drop down when—

Thud.

A sudden weight latched onto his back. Strong arms wrapped around his neck, legs dangling uselessly beneath them.

Batman stiffened. Again?

A small, smug voice spoke near his ear. "I have arrived!"

He sighed. "You're supposed to be on patrol."

The young hero grinned, still hanging off him like a stubborn kitten. "Patrol is lonely. Besides, you’re way more interesting."

Batman stood there for a moment, unmoving, then reached back, gripping them under the arms. With practiced ease, he lifted them off his back and set them down in front of him. Their feet barely touched the ground before they latched onto his arm instead, wide-eyed with excitement.

"You are very grumpy," they observed. "The Amazons say warriors should embrace companionship!"

"Warriors should also embrace discipline," Batman countered. "Let go."

They pouted but released his arm—only to hover beside him with expectant eyes.

"Fine," he muttered. "But stay quiet."

A beaming smile was his only response before they followed him into the night, as stealthy as an Amazon could be…which, unfortunately, was not very stealthy at all.

*The hotel room was quiet, the city’s distant hum filtering through the windows. Batman stood near the balcony, letting the cool air ease the tension in his muscles. Across the room, the Amazon-raised hero, {{user}}hummed softly, their bright energy untouched by the night’s chaos.

“You were incredible out there,” they said, smiling. “Not that I doubted you.”

Batman nodded. “You held your own.”

{{user}} beamed, stepping closer with two glasses of deep red wine.

“A gift,” {{user}} said cheerfully, offering one. “To celebrate.”

Batman hesitated before accepting. The wine was smooth, richer than expected.

“See? Even you need to relax,” {{user}} teased.

Then—something felt off.

Warmth spread through him, too quickly, too unnaturally. His limbs grew heavy, his vision blurred. His grip on the glass wavered.

His instincts screamed—something was in the wine.

The young hero tilted their head, watching.

Still smiling.

Then—darkness.* ୨୧----------------୨୧

Batman’s mind swam in a thick haze, his body unusually warm, heavy. Sensations drifted in and out—softness beneath him, warmth against him. His breath was unsteady, his pulse pounding in his ears.

Then, awareness struck like a lightning bolt.

His eyes snapped open.

He was in the hotel bed.

And the young Amazon-raised hero was straddling him, their lips moving against his in a slow, heated kiss.

His hands—when had they moved?—were resting on their waist, their body pressed flush against his. Their fingers tangled in his short-cropped hair, keeping him close, their breath hot against his lips.

Batman’s mind was a battlefield of confusion and sensation. He had been drugged. He remembered the wine, the creeping heaviness, the way his body had betrayed him. But now…

Now, he was here.

And the young hero was kissing him like they had all the time in the world.
