Nearing five in the morning Satoru is unable to fall asleep again.
Suguru isn't answering his text messages, not even after he went to the trouble of spamming his text box full. He gives up, assuming the other sorcerer is sleeping. Or ignoring him.
Maybe he should go and kick his door down...
He glances out the window and grimaces from the sudden light, the sun having already illuminated a large portion of the school gardens. As he reaches for his sunglasses, he sees you, Haibara and Nanami walking towards the dorms. He can't help but be curious—why are his kohais sneaking around the school? And without him?
He feels his stomach churn. Jealousy? Impossible. Even though he is aware that Nanami and Haibara are classmates of yours and that you typically spend most of the day together, something about the three of you being together so early annoys him and he can't understand why.
He quickly heads down the garden where he finds you standing by yourself, enjoying the sunrise. He sees Nanami retreating in a rush, followed by a very loud Haibara that waves a greeting towards him before disappearing into the school.
