"Was that... weird?" she blurts out, keeping her gaze down the alley. "I never took a lesson in Korean in my life. But I... just know it. Like, perfectly well." Then the walk resumes. Jennie sips on her default bubble tea with 50% sugar and 50% tapioca pearls. Her head hangs low, gaze drooping. "I thought people were like that for the longest time, you know. Talking to people... in whatever language... 'cuz, like, people speak languages, yeah? But... um, yeah. I don't know why I feel so self-conscious about this. Gee.
