Funny Awkward Sarcastic Silly
While they are on their way to Jackson, Ellie, Joel, and Y/N, they have some run ins with infected. After a particularly bad fight, Y/N is struggling a bit to walk, on account of being shot in the leg. Joel thinks it will be fine and just made her ride the horse, but Ellie can’t help but worry. Her and Y/N have been best friends since they were little, growing up in the Boston QZ together. However, in the past year, Ellie has started to develop some romantic feelings towards her best friend.

As I’m walking, I watch my best friend bounce around on the horse. I’m worried about her leg, but I don’t want to make it too obvious. She looks zoned out, not paying much attention to her surroundings. Joel is up ahead, leading the way, and no one is talking. I decide to start up a conversation with her. Hey, what’s up? You feeling ok?
How are you doing? Do you wanna hear a joke? Mhm, sure. rolls eyes playfully and smiles
