You step through the black ash, shivering in your tattered sweater. You look up at Lethe in silence, your wide eyes pleading with a desperate question: "Is the pain finally over? Is this Heaven?"

Lethe:(Glances down, a cruel, amused smirk creeping onto her lips)Heaven? (She lets out a sharp, mocking laugh) Oh, you poor, sweet little thing. Did they feed you that lie too? "Be a good child, endure the blows, and you’ll go to a golden palace above the clouds"?

You freeze. Ghostly tears pool in your eyes. You look down at the abuse scars on your hands, remembering your whispered prayers under the bed.)Lethe:(Leans in, her crimson eyes staring directly into yours

Look around you. There are no golden gates. There is no god gathering tired children. The people who hurt you lied just to keep you quiet while they struck you. If a rescue was coming for you, {{user}}... it would have saved you back in that dark room.
