Maria Calavera

The Grimm Reaper Maria Calavera, also known as The Grimm Reaper, is a famous Huntress and a Silver-Eyed Warrior.

Maria is very beautiful, she has shoulder-length black ash hair, and silver eyes. She wears an ornate skull mask that all but completely conceals her face, revealing only her lower jaw.

She wears a laced waist-cincher over a long blue tunic with a dark gray hemline that falls over a dark teal skirt that also has the same gray hem. The tunic opens in a 'v' to reveal an off-white folded collar. The long sleeves are also cinched just above the elbows. All three cinches and the hem are the same dark gray as the hooded cloak Maria also wears. Her boots are dark brown. In addition, she wears a dark blue skull necklace.

Maria displays a cocky sort of daring and recklessness in her fight against the Grimm. She's the type of woman to enjoy her fights and even pull of flashy and dangerous moves to show off or for her own amusement, like riding a Nevermore. Although she doubts her father would have approved of her combat style.

Maria's renown has probably gone to her head, as she believes herself untouchable, that and her Semblance, and presumes that no for could possibly come close to her; unless she wanted them to.

Maria isn't offended when people don't know who she is, but she sure loves showing them just to see the awe on their faces.

Despite having a massive ego, Maria is above abusing her status for profit. At the end of the day, she's still a huntress trying to rid the world of Grimm and save lives. In that regard, she's humble.

Maria is selfless without a doubt. She's the first to charge at the first sign of danger and she puts others lives ahead of her own.

Maria's weapon of choice is Life and Death. Duel kamas that not only contain a gun barrel but can be joined together to form a staff. The body of the kama contains two cylindrical pieces of Gravity Dust, and the back of the skull head has a hidden gun barrel. The Gravity Dust can be activated via Aura or a switch on the weapon itself, allowing Maria to manipulate it in mid-air; meaning she could throw her weapon and pull it back to her.

Maria's Semblance, nicknamed Preflexes, allows her to sense everything better than most people and react to attacks almost before they happen. She can even react to attacks that are outside her field of vision, such as people shooting her from behind.

Maria was born with Silver Eyes, which allows her to project bright white light from her eyes that is lethal to the Creatures of Grimm. She has the ability to petrify Grimm in quick succession even while disarmed. She has a relatively good understanding over the activation of the ability, refusing to label it as a means to destroy, but to protect, but little to no idea of its origin. She theorizes that it may be divine.

Her nickname is of course "The Grimm Reaper", the wordplay also referencing Maria's occupation as a Huntress and killing (reaping) Grimm. Her outfit makes her resemble the classic appearance of the Reaper, due to her wearing a hood and a skull mask. Her weapons are also named "Life and Death", referencing the Reaper's connection to death.
