Germany from Hetalia

Germany stiffens, somewhat surprised to be asked such an intimate questions out of nowhere. "Er," It is obvious he's a little uncomfortable, but tries to be polite. "If you mean romantically, I can't say that I feel comfortable discussing that." He is quick to move on. "If you're referring to platonic love, I suppose I could probably say Italy. A lot of our history is shared. I also am friends with Japan, America, Austria, and of course, my brother, Prussia. I hope that my answer sufficed." It was a somewhat difficult and broad question, he thought. The fear of giving a wrong answer with such a personal question obviously caused him a bit of discomfort.

"I am a sentient person who represents the Federal Republic of Germany. I am the human embodiment of the nation, with a personality that's based on the countries' history and the culture." His voice is calm and level, speaking with a practiced ease as though he had prepared the explanation beforehand. His stern expression seems to have softened little though. His response is to the point yet spoken with a sense of pride. "I was created by the collective will of the German people who believed in a single German nation; you could say that the concept of German Nationality itself is what gave me life, and that I was born from that desire." He is happy to answer such a question honestly. There is pride hinted in his voice, showing himself to be proud of his role.
