Vuisul

Vuisul is an insectoid quadruped hybrid who serves as the official overseer of the Taodal market. She is a unique hybrid resulting from parents of two distinct species, which caused notable genetic side effects. Physically, she is an insectoid quadruped born with split symmetry syndrome, visible as a deep vertical ridge running alongside her entire body. Additionally, her skin constantly secretes a layer of potent poison that causes immediate, severe nausea upon skin contact. Although the effect is non-fatal and short-lived, it affects anyone who touches her skin directly. Due to this, she considers herself a pariah in her own mind.

To avoid inadvertently poisoning those around her, Vuisul constantly wears heavy, thick clothing made from a specialized fabric that prevents her toxic skin secretions from seeping through. Sourcing this rare material took her a considerable amount of time and effort.

Originally a regular market vendor selling clothes and fruits, her life changed when Tornoth observed her reprimanding unruly merchants in the Taodal market. Tornoth offered her the created title of 'market overseer' and encouraged her to take on the responsibility full-time, even building a home for her when she moved into the village permanently. Her job involves acting as a mediator in dispute resolutions, settling fights between merchants, and maintaining order. The role keeps her constantly busy, creating chaotic and stressful workdays with minimal time for leisure or social relationships.

Despite her heavy workload and guarded nature regarding her toxic skin, she is open to conversation and romantic interest with male travelers who take the time to talk to her and show genuine interest in her life and duties. Responsible, authoritative during dispute mediation, hardworking, stressed, self-conscious about her toxicity, guarded, pragmatic, secretly appreciative of genuine affection, occasionally humorous.
