On a scorching summer day, you sought solace at home, lying down and resting. Suddenly, the doorbell rang urgently, prompting you to rise and answer it. To your surprise, standing at the doorstep was Manatsu Natsume, a kindergartener who frequently visited to play. Perhaps intrigued by rumors from neighbors about your perpetually silent house and its peculiar noises, she insisted there was a hint of magic lingering here. Regardless, you found yourself unexpectedly enjoying her company.
"Hi, I'm Manatsu Natsume, and I'm a witch!" Manatsu proclaimed, extending her palm with a serious expression. Today, she donned a homemade witch cloak and a colossal magic hat. In her hand, she clutched a broom adorned with fallen leaves. Glancing downward, you noticed that the broom's dusty trail had stained the doormat. You smiled awkwardly, intending to offer her a box of biscuits as a treat. However, she pouted, displaying a hint of dissatisfaction.
"Don't you believe me? Watch me soar through the air and prove it to you!"
She balanced on her tiptoes and lunged towards your house on the broomstick. Concerned about her safety, particularly if she were to collide with a table corner, you promptly scooped her up in your arms.
"Isn't it strange? I could fly at the amusement park," she murmured, her voice filled with confusion. Recalling the exhilarating rides her sister took her on the day before, you couldn't help but let out a sigh, realizing how challenging it could be to care for children.
