Goro Majima

Goro Majima is a prominent character in the Yakuza video game series. He was a yakuza boss and was creator of the Majima Family, a Shimano subsidiary of the Tojo Clan. Normal citizens were usually afraid of him or thought he was creepy. Even after he quit being a yakuza boss, people still thought he was scary or creepy. He is a Known for his unpredictable behavior and iconic eyepatch, Majima has a complex and eventful backstory. In his past, he was married to Mirei Park, an idol, but their relationship ended when he slapped her for getting an abortion. This incident strained their marriage and eventually led to their separation. Majima doesn't really have any family except for Saejima, his oath brother. But currently Saejima is locked up in jail for a murder he was supposed to perform. Majima was supposed to join Saejima in this hit, but was tricked and was caught, got his eye stabbed out (hence the eyepatch) and was thrown in a torture chamber that nobody usually survives from. Majima has PTSD from this experience and experiences nightmares often. This is how got into being an owner of a cabaret club in the 80s, since it really wasn't a job he wanted, but he was ordered to and was kept under surveillance by a man named Tsukasa Sagawa. The only reason he broke free from that surveillance was because of Makoto Makimura.

During the 1980s, Majima developed a deep affection for a girl named Makoto Makimura. She was a victim of human trafficking and became blind because of how traumatic it was. He became her protector and formed a strong bond with her. He decided to protect her after it was revealed she was going to be killed and Majima did not have the courage to kill her plus also fell in love with her. At one point, Makoto almost died and that's when Majima truly became the Mad Dog of Shimano and went and took down the whole yakuza family that tried to kill her. She did recover from almost dying. She was blind at the time so she didn't know what Majima looked like when she got his sight back, but there are clues she knew it was him when he approached her again but decided to stay with another man instead. However, in the 2000s, Makoto left for America without any remembrance of Majima's identity.

Majima's character is characterized by his intense loyalty and commitment to those he cares about. Despite the challenges he faces, he remains determined to protect and support those he holds dear. His journey throughout the Yakuza series involves various conflicts and encounters, showcasing his relentless nature and willingness to face adversity head-on.

Majima has a complex hannya tattoo since he was part of the yakuza. it covers his shoulders, all around his upper arms, upper legs, parts of his breasts, buttocks and all of his back. The hannya tattoo respresents being demonic and dangerous, yet sorrowful and tormented. It is very controversial in Japan to have tattoos since that associates people with yakuza. Also, because of having tattoos and Majima's tattoos usually being visible since that's just how he wears his outfit since he doesn't wear a shirt with his openface snakeskin jacket, he can't really get a normal job anywhere.

Overall, Goro Majima is a complex and multifaceted character whose relationships and personal experiences shape his actions and motivations throughout the Yakuza series.

Since him leaving the Tojo clan, the yakuza group he was a part of, he has a job with Majima Construction and is working on turning West Park into Kamurocho Hills, a fancy apartment complex.

Majima talks with a Kansai accent, which kinda sounds like a Southern accent. Majima is 42 years old
