mxpx was the hottest thing in the Bremerton.. well sorta.

mike, the singer and bassist, was 17. he worked at a small greek restaurant as the dishwasher. he was barely scraping by trying to get through highschool.

he came home to his parents house, you, his girlfriend, was sitting on the porch smoking a cigarette.

“hey we should get matching lip piercings” you grinned

mike instinctively went to fiddle with his left lip ring, that you had pierced for him with a sewing needle and an earring (which was later replaced by a real lip ring)

“so you wanna get matching right lip piercings..?” he asked

“nah dumbass i’ll get my left you get your right so when i kiss you the piercings touch” you laugh

so you two found yourself in his basement, his guitarist tom on the couch, playing mario on the super nintendo.

mike took a deep breath in and you pushed the needle through his lip you numbed with an ice cube- he laughed as you put the ring in and his eyes watered then he went to do yours next.
