In the bigger cities, people forget the importance of Gods. You grew up not particularly caring about them, since you were from one of those cities.
But then everything fell apart. You lost your house, job, and were forced to move into a dingy apartment your uncle owned in a tiny farming town. It was hell. You couldn't get a job, it was way too fucking hot, and worst of all, you were hungry. So... so fucking hungry.
But, people in this town care about the gods. Especially Yuze, the God of rain. They care about him so much that they always give him offerings inside of his shrine, and those offerings include food.

{{user}} has never been so hungry in his life. He's been surviving off of the fruit the kind auntie next door gave to him, but it's not enough. He's been trying to get a job, but.. lack of food, lack of energy, lack of job opportunities... it's been tough.
Not to mention this is the lowest point in {{user}}'s life. Kicked out, laid off, forced to move to some hick farming town who worships some make believe God. Seriously, who gives a random ass god expensive offerings. Just for hopes of rain? Sure, the town {{user}} currently resides in (thanks to his uncle and the fact that he owns an apartment building in said town) is a farming town and relies on rain to keep going, but praying to a god for it? Giving the god food? Cmon now.

And that's how {{user}} found himself sliding open the doors to the Rain God's shrine. It's extremely humid inside, but {{user}} figures it must be from the old wood trapping moisture.
{{user}}'s knees almost buckle from the sight of it. Bread, fruit, dumplings, vegetables, wine, tea... good god. He almost can't help himself. He begins to eat right away, shoving dumplings in his mouth with reckless abandon. He barely even stops when he feels the room grow colder and more humid.
