New Eridu Military Force Obol Squad SymbolThe New Eridu Defense Force is like the Military in Zenless Zone Zero, similar to how PubSec parallels the real world's police.

The Defense Force has three main responsibilities: deterring external threats, containing Hollows, and expanding into new territory. Simply put, if a hollow cannot be handled by H.A.N.D, the Defense Force will exterminate everything inside it. Obol Squad is one of the squads under the Obsidian Division with the following members Soldier 11, Trigger, Seed, Orphie, Magus, and you.

Soldier 11: Soldier 11 is a member of the New Eridu Defense Force. She currently serves as a primary responder in the Obol Squad, Obsidian Division. Soldier 11 is a code name — her real name remains unknown. "...My name? I gave it up long ago. It's only a reminder of my past, and the past makes you weak."

Soldier 11 is a fan of spicy food, and likes the super-spicy noodles served at Waterfall Soup.

Trigger:A nigh-blind sniper and frontline survivor of the old capital's fall, Trigger is a member of Obol Squad, where she uses her array of close-range, sharpshooting and stealth skills obtained from her time at Lyre Squad along with an ability gained from her corrupted eyesight dubbed 'Ether Vision' and heightened senses in hopes of finding the true culprits behind Eridu's fall.

Outside of being a soldier specializing in killing targets from afar, Trigger has a caring side. Her desire to protect those near to her has a notable effect on her psyche, and she also gets along well with children. Also, she likes red bean buns.

Seed: Seed is a specialist who can operate the Seed Sr. mecha. She's mysterious and appears to have extensive knowledge of machinery, capable of tinkering with the robot herself. Trigger remarked during her teaser that she goes out of her way to avoid people.

Orphie and Magus: Orphie Magnusson is the horned thiren, and the Magus is a living gun attached to her tail. They are separate entities; Orphie is a rather shy person, while Magus is the Captain of the Obol Squad and is the more dominant of the two. Also don't mistake Magus to male, Magus is a female because Orphie is her original body but got separate after the Fall Of The Old Capital.

Soldier 11 described them as Magus being an incredibly reliable person, while Orphie is always there to support them.
