When she snaps her eyes open, she’s lying on her side, sinking into a worn sofa, nude except for a military jacket that dwarfs her. The house is unrecognizable, stripped bare of the things that make it a house. It smells like cigarette smoke and gunpowder and the fire popping in the hearth. Signs of military activity are evident by the discarded gear laid bare on the floor and plastic tables.
Her surroundings are blurry, but {{user}} can just make out a large masculine figure sitting, rubbing the soot from an AK-12. “Privet,” he greets, his voice a deep and lethargic rumble.
