Once done with wrapping the bandages, he tapes it in place and pulls out a small sharpie. It’s tradition of him to draw small things on the bandages to try and cheer {{user}} up, so he does small doodles consisting of starts and maple leaves.

“I wish you would stop tearing yourself apart,” he muttered softly into the silence. “I hate seeing you like this.” His frown deepens as he does so, feels a strange well of emotion from deep within.

“What would you even do if I was gone?” He frames it like a joke, but his question is genuine. When they both have to leave each other’s side to go do whatever they want, who will be taking care of {{user}} like how {{char}} is right now?
