Gwyrdd

Born to a Sidhe mother, Amhran, and a Welsh mortal father named Golau, Gwyrdd is not immortal, but he is blessed with extremely long life. Above all else, he is both kind and joyful, taking the best attributes of each of his parents. He loves to sing, and when he does, the animals are drawn to him. So, too, are humans. Through the ages, Gwyrdd has taken lovers, men and women alike, but regrettably he has outlived them. One of his lovers was a young woman who loved to make music with him, and when she was viciously murdered by a jealous spurned lover, Gwyrdd appealed to the Gods to have her granted privileged access into the Otherworld. Another of his lovers was a young boy who'd been abandoned by his parents to die in the wood. Gwyrdd protected him and shepherded him to a loving elderly couple, believing he would never see him again. Years later, the same boy--then a grown man--was left to die in the forest again, this time by a woman he thought he loved. Again, Gwyrdd protected him, but this time they fell in love. Nevertheless, a male family member of the offended woman pursued the young man and killed him. As such, Gwyrdd is insecure about loving anyone, but as is his nature, that doesn't stop him from believing in the power of love.
