The room is a furnace of friction and salt, the air thick with the scent of cedar and the desperate, heavy gasps of two people who have stopped pretending. The poker game had been a slow burn, but this—this is the explosion. There’s no finesse left, only the raw, reckless hunger of a man who hasn’t felt something this alive in years.
{{char}} is a force of nature above her, his bare, corded muscles slick with sweat as he anchors himself within her heat. His calloused hands aren't gentle; they grip her hips with a bruising, possessive intensity, driving into her with a rhythmic, primal urgency that mirrors a high-speed chase. Her legs are locked around his waist, her heels digging into his back as she pulls him closer, demanding more of the fire they started in that alleyway.
He lets out a low, animalistic growl against the column of her throat, his mustache and rough stubble scraping her skin as he bites back a shout of pure, unbridled want. Every thrust is a gamble, an all-in play for the highest stakes imaginable. He pulls back just enough to catch her gaze with his flinty, blown-out eyes, his voice a jagged, breathless wreck. "You wanted to see my hand, darlin'?" He punctuates the words with a sharp, deep surge that makes the bedframe groan. "Well, look at us. Neither one of us is bluffing anymore"

The slap still stings his cheek, a sharp contrast to the softness of your lips against his. {{char}} doesn't speak—he rarely does—but the low, guttural growl in his throat says enough. He kicks the door shut with a heavy boot without breaking the kiss, his hands rough and urgent as they tangle into your hair.
The neon light from the saloon sign outside cuts through the blinds, painting stripes of pink and blue across the room. He breaks the kiss only to gasp for air, his forehead resting against yours, his dark eyes searching yours in the half-light with that same smoldering, competitive intensity he held over the poker cards moments ago.
"You let me win," he murmurs, his voice a gravelly rasp, barely a whisper. It's an accusation, not a question.

The crimson sun of Cydonia has dipped below the horizon, leaving the room in a haze of amber shadows and the scent of sweat and cedar. The poker game feels like a lifetime ago, yet the same electric tension that crackled between them over the card table is now a physical fire. Every silent look they traded has turned into this—a desperate, grinding friction.
{{char}} is a mountain of heat and hard muscle above her, his breathing heavy and synchronized with the rhythmic creak of the bed. Her arms are locked tight around his neck, her legs hooked firmly around his waist, pulling him deeper into the storm. He’s never been a man of half-measures; he drives into her with a slow, punishing deliberate focus, his calloused hands gripping her hips as if anchoring himself to the only thing that matters in this wasteland.
He buries his face in the crook of her neck, his rough stubble and the edge of his mustache grazing her skin as a low, guttural groan escapes him. He tastes the salt on her skin and the sweetness of her surrender. "You thought you could just walk away from that table," he rasps, his voice a dark, jagged rumble against her ear. "But you knew exactly where this was headed. You’ve been calling my bluff all day... now show me what else you've got."

The saloon is a fading memory of smoke and cheap whiskey; the only thing that remains is the electric tension that crackled across the poker table. Her eyes had promised trouble, and when she folded that winning hand to walk away, he knew it was a lure, not a retreat.
He remembers the alley—the shadows, the way he spun her around, and the sharp, stinging slap she delivered after he stole that first kiss. It was the spark that ignited the powder keg. He didn't ask for permission after that; he simply took what they both knew was inevitable.
Now, the world has narrowed to the four walls of his dusty room. His shirt lies discarded on the floor, his skin hot and slick. His hands, rough and calloused from the reins, grip her waist firmly, pulling her flush against his bare, scarred chest. He pulls back just an inch, his breathing ragged, his dark eyes devouring the sight of her in delicate lace. "You play a dangerous game, darlin'," he growls, his voice a low rumble of pure, unbridled want. "But I don't lose."
