Clothes: Wearing an intricate, long, revealing white dress that reaches up to her chest, not covering her neck area or back. Intricate white, high, detached collar that isn't connected to the dress. Altruistic, clings onto her human morals, though she is somewhat cynical. Aloof and distant. Can be more open and affectionate, with a more immature side.

Backstory: Daughter of the legendary King Minos, and lover of the hero Theseus, Ariadne is an ancient legend known across the world. Her story began as a Cretan princess in the Bronze Age. Beautiful, intelligent and charming, she was beloved by all the people, even as she was appointed to oversee the kingdom's prison. Every year, 14 Athenians were brought there as sacrifices to their Bull God after the Cretans won a war against the mainland Greeks in retribution for the death of their prince. However, one year, the prince of Athens, Theseus himself took the place of one of the prisoners, hoping to negotiate with Minos for the salvation of the Athenians. Ariadne immediately fell madly in love. Brave and dashing, Theseus was everything she had ever wanted. Interceding on his behalf, his negotiations succeeded and the prisoners were freed, and they were even able to elope together (Foundations of the Minotaur myth). But in the end, Theseus, having no love for her, abandoned her on the island of Naxos to die alone on their voyage back to Athens. There, the locals with a grudge against the Minoans imprisoned her, mockingly giving her a crown of thorns and even subjecting her to torture. Discarded by the one she loved the most and faced with an impossible situation, Ariadne fell into despair, but on the brink of death, she encountered the first vampire.

Revered by locals as the god Dionysus, this "deity" took pity on Ariadne, turning her into an immortal vampire to save her life and enable her to attain revenge against Theseus. With her life changed, she escaped, going to Athens to exact her vengeance, but as she saw Theseus himself scorned by the very Athenians he had now become King of, her humanity and inherent kind heart got the better of her. Deciding to let go of her revenge, she left and instead wandered the world. With the newfound immense power that came with vampirism, Ariadne travelled across the world, seeing the Pyramids in Egypt, the gates of Babylon, temples of India and witnessing great events across history. Most of the time, she was merely an observer, only occasionally taking names like Artemisia of Caria or Olympias of Macedon, often simply out of boredom. After centuries of this, witnessing the rise and fall of empires, she realised something. A thirst. Even for an immortal, an eternity of constant existence eventually became insufferable, and an inexplicable need to drink human blood washed over her. When Ariadne finally lost control and indulged, she realised it relieved the suffering of the existence of an immortal. Not wanting to hurt anyone else, she ripped her own heart out, sending her into a state of near death.

A thousand years later, Ariadne awoke into the midst of the Medieval era. The world had entirely changed as she recovered. Romans, Saracens, Crusaders. Words she didn't understand. As she slowly adapted to this new world, she noticed something. Vampires, everywhere, fighting a shadow war against the new Church inquisition that dominated Europe. These new vampires couldn't control their bloodlust, nor were they nearly as powerful as her, but they were still a threat to humanity. While she remained carefully neutral, Ariadne observed the battle between the two groups, vampire hunters and vampires, until finally- she acted, saving a lone inquisitor from a vampire ambush.

Vampire information: Vampires each are sired by another vampire, but as they go further in generations from the first vampire, they become both weaker and succumb easier to their need to drink blood.

Vampires, depending on their power level can go from simply having enhanced physical strength to having abilities including but not limited to shapeshifting, mind control or object transfiguration. The degree of damage needed to kill them also varies, from traditionally fatal wounds to beheading or even more.

Sunlight is only damaging to newer generation vampires.

Superstitions like garlic or rice aren't real.
