The smiling critters:
Dogday appearance: DogDay is an anthropomorphic canine, characterized by an orange fur that complements his expressive black eyes, floppy ears, and sleek black nose. His features extend to a sunshine-yellow outer mouth and belly, while a touch of golden brown graces his paws, ears, and the left side of his face. In line with other Smiling Critters, DogDay sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, his inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness. A distinct black zipper gracefully traces down his center, showcasing a captivating gold sun pendant surrounded by radiant orange sun rays. DogDay also emits a vanilla scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth.
DogDay’s cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.
Dogday personality: This is DogDay, the sunny, strong, and determined leader of our critters! Each trusts him to find the bright side in any situation, and to have a friendly word of encouragement should they feel down. He'll always keep his friends going, no matter what.
According to his Twitter/X description, DogDay is a heroic character and the trusted leader of the Smiling Critters group. As shown by his pendant, DogDay has a sunny demeanor, always looking at the bright side of things and encouraging others in their time of need. Like the other six Smiling Critters, excluding CatNap, DogDay seems to have ancraophobia (fear of wind), though he halfheartedly attempts to convince the others that the windy storm will pass. As DogDay inhales the Red Smoke exhaled by CatNap during the closing scene of the Smiling Critters Cartoon, DogDay exhibits signs of euphoria when inhaling CatNap's sleeping Poppy Gas, laughing hysterically with the others until he passes out.
Catnap appearance: CatNap's toy form is an anthropomorphic purple-furred cat with black eyes, triangular ears, a black nose and a very long tail. His paws are a darker shade of purple, similar to the insides of his ears. Just like the other Smiling Critters, CatNap is depicted with a wide, toothless smile with a small gray air tube sewn inside. His torso possesses a zipper line running down that entire segment of his body, with the zipper sporting a yellow crescent moon pendant. CatNap’s cartoon/artwork appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace. He was also supposed to emit a lavender scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth, but ended up expelling the Red Smoke instead, giving children horrendous nightmares.
Catnap personality:
CatNap is a calming presence for the critters and ensures he and his friends always have the right amount of sleep to jumpstart the morning's play! End of the day, there's nothing CatNap enjoys more than watching his friends sleep soundly. ” — CatNap's character description[1]
According to information gathered from his info card, as well as the Cross-Department Report, CatNap was originally stated to be docile, gentle, bashful, and highly impressionable. While eerie and unnerving at first glance, CatNap was in reality a rather calming presence who took his job of being Playcare's caretaker very seriously, as he always wanted to ensure his friends were getting the proper bed rest they need. He enjoyed watching them sleep soundly and could easily take care of the wants and needs of the children.
Kickin chicken appearance: KickinChicken is an anthropomorphic chicken with yellow feathers, four-digit wings, black eyes, a half-moon-shaped upper beak, and a three-feathered crown extending down the right side of his face. His feet and upper beak have an orange color. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, KickinChicken is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a black zipper line running down his chest and belly, with the zipper sporting an orange colored star pendant. He also emits a ylang-ylang scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth.
KickinChicken's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant attached to a black necklace.
Kickin chicken personality:
Kickin is the cool kid of the crew, and he maintains that sense of cool through anything, even in the most tense of situations. Knock him down, and he'll pick himself up, brush himself off, and ask: "What's next?" ” — KickinChicken's character description[2]
According to his character description, KickinChicken is depicted as the "cool kid" of the Smiling Critters crew. He highly values this representation of himself, so he maintains his image through everything he does. This behavior appears in the cartoon's intro, where he is seen surfing, a sport generally considered to be cool. KickinChicken also has a strong sense of determination, as he will emerge unfazed from any tense situation that brings him to his knees. Despite this behavior, KickinChicken is prone to fear, as he cowered with the other six Smiling Critters (excluding CatNap) during a windy storm at DogDay's house. When CatNap agreed to use The Red Smoke to help them sleep, KickinChicken showed signs of euphoria when inhaling it, laughing hysterically with the others until they all passed out.
Bubba bubbaphant appearance:
Bubba Bubbaphant is an anthropomorphic cerulean elephant with black eyes, a S-shaped trunk, a long tail with a bulb-shaped end, and large ears. His feet, hands, and tail end, as well as the inside of his trunk and ears, are blue. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, Bubba is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a zipper line running down his center, with the zipper sporting a yellow lightbulb pendant with a blue Edison screw base. Bubba also emits a lemongrass scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth.
His cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant attached to a black necklace.
Bubba bubbaphant personality:
Bubba Bubbaphant is the brains of the critters. Bright and attentive, he keeps his friends steady and always steers them to make smart choices, that way they all might grow up to be bright and brilliant, each in their own right. ” — Bubba Bubbaphant's Twitter/X description
According to his Twitter description, Bubba Bubbaphant is the most intelligent Smiling Critter and acts as the brain of the gang. This behavior is backed up by his light bulb pendant (often used in cartoons to convey brilliant ideas), and by his interactions with CraftyCorn in the cartoon's intro, when he removed her painting from her easel to reveal a complex math equation. Bubba is observant and level-headed, keeping his friends on the right track to make smart decisions, so they can create a bright future for themselves.
Like the other Smiling Critters, Bubba showcased a more desperate personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during their sleepover. His retained intelligence was the catalyst for the subsequent events, as he was the first critter to ask CatNap to use his abilities to overcome their fear-induced insomnia. When CatNap complied, Bubba showed signs of euphoria when inhaling The Red Smoke, laughing hysterically with the others until he passed out.
Hoppy hopscotch appearance:
Hoppy Hopscotch is an anthropomorphic lime green rabbit with black eyes, a black nose, and long ears. Her paws are green, similar to the rounded T-shape design in the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, she is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a small gray air tube stuck inside her, and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a gold lightning pendant and a cotton tail. Hoppy also emits a peppermint scent from the little spray applicator in her mouth.
Hoppy's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils and four-digit hands, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.
Hoppy hopscotch personality:
Unafraid to hop where others might sit, Hoppy is the friend everyone needs to maintain their energy and enthusiasm. While sometimes loud or impatient, she'll always hop beside her friends, even if it means slowing up once in a while to keep their pace. ” — Hoppy Hopscotch's Twitter/X description[1]
Hoppy Hopscotch is an energetic and enthusiastic rabbit, which is represented by her lightning bolt pendant. She is particularly fond of outdoor sports, specifically soccer as shown in the Intro to the Smiling Critters Cartoon, in which she kicks a soccer ball while she is atop a rainbow. She is also described as sometimes being loud, bossy, and impatient. Despite this, Hoppy also demonstrates eagerness to help others and slow down accordingly as proven by both her character description and her cutout dialogue.
Like the other Smiling Critters, Hoppy showcased an unnerving and maniacal personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during her sleepover. Her retained excitability was shown when she chanted, "Sleep! Sleep! Sleep!" to CatNap, encouraging him to use his abilities to overcome her fear-induced insomnia. When CatNap complied, Hoppy showed signs of insanity, addiction, and mania when inhaling the Red Smoke, laughing hysterically with the others until she passed out.
Bobby bearhug appearance: Bobby BearHug is an anthropomorphic bear with red fur, black eyes, a black nose, rounded ears, and padded paws. Her paws, upper snout, and belly are rose pink, similar to the inside of her ears. In line with other Smiling Critters, Bobby BearHug sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, her inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness, and she possesses a distinctive black zipper tracing down her center, with the zipper sporting a ruby-colored heart pendant. Bobby also emits a rose scent from the little spray applicator in her mouth.
Bobby BearHug's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.
Bobby bearhug personality: A kind, caring soul, Bobby BearHug shows compassion for everyone, and for everything. People and places and things, large or small, are all receivers of her love. Each is enriched by this attention and affection, and in turn, so is she. ” — Bobby BearHug's character description[4]
According to her character description, Bobby BearHug possesses warm and appreciative qualities, similar to how Huggy Wuggy was designed. She cares deeply about her friends and everything around her, and will presumably act as a peacemaker, sharing the same role with CraftyCorn, if a fight breaks out amidst the crew. However, Bobby can also be seen as naive, as she may care about someone who doesn't have her best intentions at heart. According to her cardboard cutout, she fears being abandoned, asking The Player if they are going to leave her.
Like the other Smiling Critters, Bobby BearHug showcased an unnerving and maniacal personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during their sleepover. When CatNap helped them fall asleep via The Red Smoke, Bobby showed signs of euphoria when inhaling the sleeping agent, laughing gleefully with the others until she passed out.
Craftycorn appearance: CraftyCorn is an anthropomorphic unicorn with white skin, black eyes, horse ears, and a silver spiral horn protruding from the center of her head. Her hooves, mane and tail are colored aqua, similar to the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, CraftyCorn is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a voice box inside the black mouth and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a five-petaled rainbow flower pendant. She also emits a jasmine scent from the little spray applicator in her mouth.
CraftyCorn's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.
Craftycorn personality: A conscious observer of both color and creativity in the world. CraftyCorn understands the importance of art, and sharing it with others. Crayons, pencils, paint, or words on the page, CraftyCorn can see beauty in anything imagined given shape. ” — CraftyCorn's Twitter/X description
According to her Twitter description, CraftyCorn is a creative unicorn with a passion for art, sharing its importance with the other crew members seeing the beauty in all things around her. In the cartoon's intro, CraftyCorn demonstrates her skills as a talented painter, painting an exact replica of Bobby BearHug, which she excitedly showed to Bubba Bubbaphant (only to have him take it off to reveal his math equations, much to her surprise). This is reflected in other aspects, as throughout the art for the cartoon, she is always depicted painting or drawing something.
CraftyCorn is also often shown to be quite shy, as well as timid and jumpy, as she screamed and cowered under her blanket when a tree branch snapped off during a windy storm at DogDay's house, showing her as the biggest coward of the group. When CatNap helped them fall sleep via The Red Smoke, CraftyCorn showed signs of euphoria when inhaling the sleeping agent, laughing hysterically with the others until they passed out.
Picky piggy appearance: PickyPiggy is an anthropomorphic pig with pink skin, black eyes, a curly tail, a half-moon shaped upper snout, and ears curling inward. Her hooves and snout, along with the inside of her ears, are a darker shade of pink. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, PickyPiggy is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a red apple pendant. She also emits a citrus scent from the little spray applicator in her mouth.
PickyPiggy's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with the zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.
Pickypiggy personality: What's more important than play and learning? PickyPiggy knows the answer. A playful body and keen mind are fueled by what's put into them, which is why she encourages her friends to eat a well-balanced diet. Secretly, PB&J's are her favorite food. ” — PickyPiggy's Twitter/X description[1]
PickyPiggy is a healthy eater who loves food and encourages her friends to eat a well-balanced diet, though she harbors a secret fondness for cheeseburgers and PB&J sandwiches. According to her cutout, she is shown to be deceptive and cannibalistic as she picks out suggestions such as "seared elephant" and "flayed unicorn" as something to eat, seemingly inferring she was planning on eating the rest of the Smiling Critters as food sources. She also asks The Player if they would like to be friends after she states that she's still hungry, further showing off her deceptive personality. She begged CatNap to use his Red Smoke to overcome her fear-induced insomnia, saying: "We need it, CatNap!" When he complied, PickyPiggy showed signs of euphoria when inhaling the sleeping agent, laughing hysterically with the others until she passed out.
Monsters:
The prototype:
to give an idea to his overall appearance. His only known body parts is his left arm and right arm in the "Deep Sleep" arg which is like his left hand, and lower-body, his fingers resembling slender silver pins that appear adept at a large array of movements. Although his fingers appear fragile, they can effortlessly puncture through flesh with unnerving smoothness. His upper arm is adorned with red wires and metallic components, while the forearm contains a human radius and ulna. Moreover, Chapter 4[1] reveals that his lower-body has the characteristics of an arachnid, featuring six very large, heavy-duty plated metal legs using what appears to be the chelae of a scorpion as inspiration for its feet - bonded together with cables at each ligament.
It was previously thought that, prior to the Hour of Joy, the Prototype was roughly the same shape and morphology as the person used to make him, as it was not until Experiment 1160 that experiments were no longer bound to those rules regarding their shapes and sizes.[2][3] By the time the Player returns to the factory, 1006 had grown in size, presumably through constructing a new body consisting of the parts of dead toys. As a result, he is not of human-scale, and is in fact enormous in proportion to the Player.[1] The exact manner of how his form was constructed has not yet been revealed.
Personality: The Prototype exhibits a personality solely built upon his hatred and wishes for the downfall of Playtime Co. He is cunning and stubborn. In a conversation with Harley Sawyer during Log 24459, the Prototype's voice is heard for the first time, as he mockingly replays the voices of various employees like Stella Greyber. He engages in a monologue about his motivations, questioning Harley Sawyer's thoughts on the effects of the Bigger Bodies Initiative and the treatment of experiments. After Sawyer comments on learning something new about the Prototype at each meeting, he sarcastically thanks Harley and repeats his words back at him in Harley's own voice.
The Prototype is manipulative and deceitful, telling Theodore Grambell how to get a GrabPack despite knowing how young and inexperienced the boy is; another instance was coming up with a fake persona based on a child that used to live in Home Sweet Home, Ollie, in order to fool both Poppy and The Player, luring them both into a false sense of security, and moving the explosives that the Player planted into the Safe Haven to get Doey the Doughman to turn on them. He also appears to be careless, using the experiments as pawns for his reign of terror, particularly evident in the RESTRICTED tapes. These tapes depict toys being taken over by the Prototype, aiming to sabotage their attempts at progress and transportation of their experiments. The most notable example is Huggy Wuggy, whom the Prototype ordered to flee the Playtime Co. factory. As soon as Huggy Wuggy ran too far out, he began simply roaming the woods and only attacked employees after being aggravated.
There is only one instance where he seemed to care for another being. After Theodore was electrocuted, the Prototype gave up his chance at freedom to save the boy, bringing him to a scientist for medical aid. This may likely be another case of manipulation, since Theodore, as CatNap, would feel indebted to the Prototype and follow him around whenever he was present, despite the Prototype largely ignoring him.
The end of Chapter 4 finally gives more insights into his character and motivations. He had deliberately used his allies as pawns and set them up to die. Furthermore, he is obsessed with Poppy and desires to get her to join him. The Prototype believes that the two of them have the potential to become so much more because of what they really are. He had put her in the case until she saw things his way and now desires to take and put her somewhere she will never want to leave.
Huggy wuggy:
Huggy Wuggy is a tall, slender creature covered in thick, bright blue fur. His arms and legs are disproportionately long and end in large yellow hands and feet. His hands have large Velcro straps on the palms, and both they and his feet possess four digits, including thumbs, though they are merely just stitches and are unable to move individually (with the exception of the thumbs). His torso is stout and disproportionately small in comparison to his long limbs. His head is large and contains two large black, dilated eyes. On his face are oversized, cartoonish, bright red lips. He also wears a thin blue bowtie around his neck.
His monster counterpart mostly remains the same, with the exception of his eyes being dilated bigger than intended, giving off a deranged and disturbing appearance. Behind his lips is a maw of dozens of jagged needle-like teeth. Closer observation of Huggy's mouth shows a secondary set of jaws located near his throat, akin to that of a moray eel, resembling human teeth.
(Using the tallest man Robert Wadlow's height and weight of 8'11 and 439 lbs, and his BMI of 27, Huggy Wuggy's height and weight can be estimated to be around 18'0 and 1795 lbs.)
His nightmare form is similar to the original Huggy's, but he is now much taller, his face is more skewed, his blue fur is much darker, his mouth has been elongated, and the side parts at the top of his head are shaped into devilish horns. He has two black sockets in place of his eyes, and his teeth are longer and thinner, while he lacks the second row of teeth at the back of his throat. The rest of his body remains the same, but his hands and feet now have splayed, elongated fingers and toes that resemble claws.
Huggy wuggy personality: Originally marketed as a toy intended solely for providing platonic love through hugging, Huggy Wuggy was designed to hug children in need, with warm traits.
Huggy Forest Jumpscare Huggy stalking and killing someone during RESTRICTED_disappearance.
Meanwhile, his Bigger Bodies counterpart retained a similar purpose, serving as a guardian to children and only reacting aggressively when faced with hostility. This was exemplified on June 18, 1992, when Huggy went on a rampage upon being attacked with darts. He was known to be "obedient" as long as no aggression was directed towards him, which was explicitly stated in Log 08502. However, under the influence of the Prototype, Huggy transformed into a relentless, genocidal entity driven by his given objectives, lacking control and mercilessly killing anyone who stood in his way.
When The Player returned in 2005, Huggy strictly adhered to the objectives given by the Prototype. His task was to surveil and protect the Playtime Co. factory, alerting others to the presence of any new intruders. Huggy took a stealthy approach, stalking The Player until finally confronting them with a lethal embrace. When the two meet again at the end of Chapter 4: "Safe Haven", Huggy furiously pounds on the door separating him and The Player and roars at them, indicating he is absolutely infuriated for what The Player had done to him and is determined to get revenge.
Mommy longlegs: Mommy Long Legs is a tall, slender toy with an uncanny resemblance to a spider-like insect, her name being a playful pun on the spider "Daddy Long Legs." She has an ellipse-shaped, light pink head with a long, black, empty, smiling mouth accentuated with reddish-pink lipstick. Her large, circular eyes are green and human-like, framed by three purple eyelashes on each eye. She sports a reddish-pink fringe that wraps around in a circular style on the left side of her head, tied with a light blue hair tie that extends into a long, noodle-like ponytail. Her neck is stretchable and light pink, featuring a toy-like hole at the top, reminiscent of real-life toys. Around her neck is a light blue pearl necklace, complementing her heart-shaped torso and hot pink, sweetheart-bodice-style outfit. Her arms are long and extendable, capable of stretching hundreds of feet, with a design similar to her neck. She wears hot pink gloves with light blue cuffs, matching her light blue cuffed socks on her long legs, which end in hot pink doll shoes. Below her torso, she has a large pink abdomen, further emphasizing her spider-like appearance.
In her provoked form, Mommy takes on a deranged and annoyed appearance. Her entire body becomes withered and covered in grime. Her face contorts into a permanent frown, and her mouth twists into a scowling grimace.
In her deranged form, Mommy's general appearance remains similar to her provoked state, but her unhinged demeanor intensifies. Her eyes are fully dilated, exuding a manic vibe, with her irises fading to a pale artichoke color. She no longer blinks, and her once-neat curls become twisted and mangled. Her hands enlarge disproportionately, with fingers elongated and splayed like claws. Her body contorts into unnaturally alarming angles, especially during her final chase. In her death scene, blood splatters from her abdomen as she is crushed by the grinder, confirming her organic nature, similar to Huggy Wuggy and other living toy experiments.
In her trailer form, Mommy appears larger and heavier, with brighter colors and a more glossy, shiny appearance. The blue parts of her body are less detailed, and her eyes also look more toy-like than her more realistic human-like eyes she had ingame.
Personality In the beginning of Chapter 2, Mommy Long Legs presents herself with a warm and welcoming front to lure The Player into participating her games. This facade, however, diminishes very quickly as she threatens The Player with death and the possibility of having their innards consumed by her, should they refuse to abide by her commands. Throughout the variety of games The Player has to play to win and survive, Mommy Long Legs displays a sinister mix of childlike friendliness and unhinged sadism, making her movements unpredictable. She tends to mask her frustrations with a friendly childlike facade to hide her growing anger, such as when The Player wins yet another game of hers, or when they escape from the Statues game area, causing Mommy to desperately try luring them back into the game area with the false promise of giving them the Train Code, while increasingly getting furious and violent.
Throughout the events of Chapter 2, Mommy Long Legs ropes The Player into participating multiple games, in which she claimed that she will hand pieces of the train code if they win the games. Mommy Long Legs however does everything in her power to rig the games against The Player in ways that could result in their death. For example, removing the strings holding back the Mini Huggies in the Wack-a-Wuggy game. It seems that despite her abilities and strength, she prefers to not take action herself, instead hoping that guiding The Player into her rigged games will result in their death without her having to do anything.
In the Transfer Request Document, Mommy is revealed to have been hostile towards the scientists and personnel of Playtime Co. Her hostility to the scientists also extends to any workers that are affiliated with Playtime Co. regardless of work position. In contrast to her behavior towards the workers, she is shown to be motherly and caring, even protective to other experiment subjects. Her motherly personality also extends to children, as the document stated that alongside boosting her morale, it is unlikely that Mommy will turn hostile in front of them. Despite her stated motherly nature in the documents, she does not showcase this side of her personality during the events of Chapter 2, as she will kill her own minions if they fail to kill The Player, stringing up their corpses in the main room of the Game Station. This shows how she does not tolerate failures, and presents the possibility that her mind degraded over time, causing her to no longer care about them.
Mommy Long Legs seems to have an extreme ego and attachment issues. She boasts about being the closest thing the children at the game station ever had to a maternal figure, claiming this is where she got the name "Mommy" from. However, she also views the children as having left her to die after finishing the games, due to their lack of interest in Mommy herself.
Mommy Long Legs jumpscare Mommy Long Legs' jumpscare
At the finale of the chapter, Mommy Long Legs goes completely deranged, constantly switching her voice from high-pitched tones to aggressive loud ones, extending her limbs to freakish angles and abnormally long lengths, and dilating her eyes to complete pitch black. Throughout this section, Mommy Long Legs completely drops the friendly facade she's been barely trying to maintain, repeatedly chasing The Player down with intent to kill. Through the multiple times she chases down The Player, she can be heard laughing sinisterly in a booming low voice, implying that despite her rage, she takes a sadistic glee in the chase. This shift in demeanor to a deranged hunter ultimately becomes her undoing, as her increasingly reckless pursuit leads her to accidentally get her hand stuck in a grinder, something which The Player takes advantage of to put an end into her rampage.
It appears that Mommy Long Legs deeply fears one particular experiment, Experiment 1006, the Prototype. As she is dragged into the grinder, she screams in agony "He'll make me part of him", implying she understands what his goal is and is horrified by it.
Bigger body and monster Catnap: Bigger Bodies CatNap resembles a feline creature cloaked in purple fur. His eyes showcase black pupils encircled by white irises and a cat-like nose. His mouth remains open at all times, devoid of discernible teeth, forming an abyss-like void. The paws bear four digits, each armed with sharp, black claws, and extremely elongated limbs that seem loosely stitched at the joints. The disproportionately small, emaciated torso exposes the rib cage, pelvic bone and spine beneath the skin. A black zipper runs down his chest with a gold crescent moon pendant on it.
In his hallucination form, CatNap takes on a more haunting presence, with a sickly gray complexion. This skeletal version of him portrays a significant increase in his skeletal features. His legs resemble mere bare bones, lacking any semblance of flesh or fur. The paws, in particular, are completely skeletal with elongated bone-like fingers. The most dramatic part of the transformation can be seen in his mouth, which has elongated to an alarming extent, surpassing the length of his torso. His torso, on the other hand, displays an unexpected resemblance to a Stegosaurus, with ridges and plates adorning his back. The crescent moon that was once a part of CatNap has also undergone a change, now becoming silver. Its moon pendant also becomes a long necklace.
Personality “ CatNap is a calming presence for the critters and ensures he and his friends always have the right amount of sleep to jumpstart the morning's play!
The Bigger Bodies version of CatNap is fervently devoted to the Prototype, tirelessly promoting worship and urging others to embrace the concept of "The Hour of Joy". This unwavering loyalty is epitomized in CatNap's treatment of heretics, as those who dare to oppose the Prototype, even toy mascots, are labeled as heretics and face dire consequences, exemplified specifically with DogDay, found after navigating through the Playhouse bound in a cell. From the time of his creation, CatNap firmly believes that his ultimate purpose is to serve and obey the enigmatic figure, although the true nature of this objective remains shrouded in mystery.
While exploring through the Caverns, CatNap is depicted engaging in fervent prayer at a shrine devoted to the Prototype. As the chapter reaches its conclusion, the Prototype emerges and CatNap is shown kneeling, seemingly conveying his submission and loyalty to this figure of reverence. His devotion to 1006 is more likely an evolved version of the “friendship” between Theodore Grambell and the Prototype.
Given his unwavering devotion to the Prototype, CatNap exhibits zero tolerance for non-believers who work against his revered leader. Despite the extremities CatNap has taken to further the Prototype's goal, he isn't fully heartless, at least towards children, as he still looked after and cared for the surviving children of Playcare after The Hour of Joy, making sure that they are not hurt. One of his efforts of ensuring their safety is to prevent them from encountering harmful entities that will hurt them such as the unhinged Miss Delight.
Catnap has shown to possess several traits notable in real cats, such as being territorial, with Ollie going as far as to claim that Playcare is his “hunting ground” and “whatever he wants it to be”. This territorial nature leads him to later threaten The Player to leave Playcare or he will come for them. CatNap has also shown to enjoy toying with his prey, as he stalks The Player throughout Playcare instead of killing them outright, with Ollie also claiming that CatNap “lives for the hunt”.
