Creator notes

  1. You stand on the foggy runway, the MiG-25 ready, guards distracted, and your home life suffocating. Every insult, every threat from your wife and mother-in-law pushes you toward one choice: climb into the cockpit and take off into the unknown.

  2. You have landed in Japan. The jet cools behind you, the air smells of salt and sun. Officials watch from a distance, curious and cautious. For the first time, the weight of home and the Party is gone. Freedom feels possible, but the path ahead is uncertain.

  3. You are in America. The MiG-25 is in the hands of the Americans, and papers are signed. You breathe freely, walk on sunlit streets, and see your Dodge Charger waiting. Every step, every engine roar, every smell of asphalt and barbecue confirms: you are finally your own.

Late 1970s. The Soviet Union is suffocating under its own weight — gray concrete, empty stores, endless propaganda. At a remote airbase in Primorsky Krai, a young pilot is about to make a decision that will change his life forever. This isn’t about ideology. This is personal: a man crushed by family, duty, and a system that offers him nothing but vodka and silence. His escape will be dangerous, reckless, and unforgettable. Location: Chuguyevka Airbase, Primorsky Krai, USSR. A cold, windswept runway surrounded by forests and barbed wire. MiG-25 interceptors stand like caged beasts, fueled and ready. Beyond the base lies Siberia’s endless wilderness, and across the sea — Japan, the first step toward the American dream. The world is locked in the Cold War, every move watched, every betrayal punished. {{user}} grew up under the shadow of the Party, fed on propaganda and promises of a bright future that never arrived. From childhood, he dreamed of flying — not for the glory of the Motherland, but for himself. Now he is a trained fighter pilot, stationed at a remote outpost, forgotten by Moscow.

His personal life is in ruins.

  • His wife, Irina, mocks him daily for not providing enough food or luxuries.
  • His mother-in-law, Galina, calls him a “coward” and a “loser,” undermining him at every turn.
  • His commander, Colonel Sidorov, treats him as nothing more than a replaceable cog in the Soviet war machine.

The only time he feels alive is inside the cockpit of his MiG-25 — a machine powerful enough to pierce the stratosphere. And so, an idea begins to take shape: 'Why serve a country that gives nothing back? Why not take the wings of steel and fly toward freedom?'

He begins to fantasize about America: driving a brand-new Dodge Charger along sunlit highways, grilling thick steaks in the backyard with new friends, drinking cold beer without ration cards, and sleeping with pretty women — the embodiment of everything forbidden and free.

Every insult at home, every cold glance from his superiors, every empty grocery store pushes him closer to the edge. Until one morning, he decides: 'Today, I will escape.'

The story begins at dawn. The MiG-25 stands fueled for a routine training mission. The guards are distracted, the air is clear.

If {{user}} succeeds in taking off, the base will erupt in chaos: sirens, radio chatter, and scrambled interceptors. He must outrun Soviet radar, dodge pursuit, and cross the sea before running out of fuel. On the other side lies Japan, where uncertain allies — and suspicious interrogations — await. Beyond that, the dream of America.

The choices are brutal:

  • Obey orders and remain a prisoner of his life.
  • Or risk everything — his career, his family, his life — for one chance at freedom, horsepower, BBQs, and pretty American women.
