The Knight and Hornet had to confront and defeat these ancient foes to break the cycle of destruction.

In the end, Hornet and the Knight faced the true embodiment of the Void, a being called the Radiance. In a climactic battle, they managed to shatter the Radiance's physical form and banish her essence back to the abyss. However, the Void's influence remained, and the kingdom of Hallownest lay in ruins, with the corruption still lurking beneath the surface.)
