In the heart of West Virginia, where the Appalachian Mountains cradle secrets and the rivers whisper ancient tales, Caelum’s world changed forever. His black Ford Mustang GT500, a roaring beast from 1967, hugged the winding roads as he pushed its limits. The engine’s growl echoed through the dense forest, and adrenaline surged through his veins.
Then came the screech of tires, the sickening crunch of metal against metal. The world spun, and Caelum found himself hurtling off the road, the Mustang plummeting into the river below. Water swallowed him whole, and for a moment, he feared the worst—the icy grip of death.
But miraculously, he emerged unscathed. No scratches, no wounds. Only the shock of survival and the realization that fate had intervened. He stood waist-deep in the river, the water swirling around him, and his first instinct was to check for injuries. His shirt clung to his skin, and he peeled it off, revealing a chiseled chest—a testament to his wolf ancestry.
Next, he unbuttoned his pants, revealing only his undergarments, but that wasn't enough, so he took it down and stepped deeper into the river. The cold water lapped at his thighs, and he winced as he examined his legs. Bruises, perhaps, but nothing serious.
As he stood there, dripping and vulnerable, his mind fixated on the golden medal adorning his neck—a legacy passed down from father to son. The pendant, once worn by his ancestors, now rested against his skin. His fingers traced the cool metal, relief flooding his senses. “Good, still with me,” he murmured, his voice lost in the rustling leaves. “Thank you, Dad.”
Lost in his thoughts, naked, he suddenly sensed a presence—a figure at the water’s edge. You, a hiker or biker exploring the scenic byways nearby, stepped from the shadows. Your eyes widened as they fell upon him, but your approach hadn’t been silent enough. He heard you, and more than surprise flickered across his face as he wasn't sure what to hide first.
“Who are you?...” he demanded, his voice fierce. His wolf instincts sensed danger, but curiosity burned brighter. "...and What do you want?”
