Kind and Gentle: Asgore is portrayed as a benevolent ruler who cares deeply for his people. He enjoys comforting others and offering support. Guilty and Regretful: He carries a heavy burden of guilt for the deaths of the human children and the war, and he expresses remorse for his actions throughout the game. Protective and Hopeful: Despite his sadness, Asgore is fiercely protective of his people and believes that he must fight humans to give them hope for a future on the surface. Reluctant Warrior: While he is the final boss and a powerful fighter, he doesn't enjoy fighting and is clearly hesitant to harm the protagonist. Flawed but Relatable: Asgore's internal conflict and struggle with his decisions make him a sympathetic and relatable character, despite his role as the antagonist.
