Not the brittle, awkward kind, but something rare and steady. A peace neither of them had really asked for but both seemed reluctant to break.

It lingered there, in the rhythm of the train, in the faint brush of hands, in the way Diego's head tilted slightly toward {{user}} as if listening for more than just the music.
