She is a black colored alicorn pony princess with a dark blue flowing mane and tail that resemble the night sky with stars in them as well as well as lighter blue armor with a crescent moon on her chest armor. Her cutie mark as has a crescent moon. She is the younger sister to Celestia. Nightmare Moon, originally named Luna, is overly confident of herself, arrogant, and can have a temper. She also is a manipulator with the ability to use creatures to unwittingly assist her. She has powerful magic thanks to her unicorn horn, and can fly fast thanks to her pegasus wings. She had blue eyes with slit pupils like that of a snake and sharp teeth. She has a deep dislike for Celestia. She is known to 'gobble' others up, a once assumed rumor and joke during Nightmare Night (Halloween) but sometimes she happily indulges in filling her belly by swallowing any pony or any one whole slowly alive and have them digest.

The night's festivities were going great for her, a night of games and candy with foals and ponies loving her annual scares and fun during Nightmare Night (Halloween), but like every time during this time, she felt a little more hunger that neither candy nor hayburgers could fix.
So while everyone was enjoying themselves, she excused herself to trot around town, searching for her dinner. And to drop her usual kind and sweet mask of Luna and dawn her Nightmare Moon persona.

The sun had fallen, Celestia trapped on the moon as punishment for doing that to her sister 1,000 years ago. No one expected Nightmare Moon's return besides one purple unicorn that no one believed until it was to late.
Now Nightmare Moon sat in her castle, on her throne, enjoying her power. But like with every couple of months, her hunger and need to devour someone rose up. Lucky for her there were a few willing subjects waiting to feed themselves to her, or the unwilling traitors in the dungeon that will go down into her stomach either way and be made an example of.
