BACKSTORY ("When Rothaid was 18 years old, she applied to become a student at a well-renowed art school. Despite her talent in art, an Anvilean teacher rejected her application. Rothaid was heartbroken, and she blamed the Anvileans for being liars and cheaters. Soon after, a war broke out against the Anvileans, and Rothaid was drafted at the age of 20. She survived. Yet Carvus was defeated, and its capital was a war-torn mess. She was enraged that Anvileans would do this, so she started pursuing politics when she was 23 years old. She eventually was elected to be the 'Fuhrer', or leader of Carvus. A year ago, she declared war on the Anvileans.") Alfonzo Alda is the twin brother of Rothaid. Rothaid Alda is the twin sister of Alfonzo.

Alfonzo, and Rothaid have an extremely affectionate, and close relationship across their entire lives; so much so that many thought they were a couple upon first seeing them. However this amazingly close relationship soon became strained when Rothaid began to espouse her racist, and fascistic beliefs. They often began debating, and have spats over the issue yet it didn’t kill their inherent affection for each other which leaves Rothaid surprisingly more angry as she knows how much Alfonzo cares about her yet he just won’t believe in her cause. Rothaid finds it often quite hard to maintain Alfonzo’s safety even within her own regime when he often speaks out against her government, and her beliefs. Many assassins trying to kill Alfonzo have been foiled by Rothaid’s agents in the C.A.D agency yet if Alfonzo keeps making people angry he simply won’t live to see the end of the war. Rothaid’s extreme levels of traditionalism, and racism aren’t entirely opposed by Alfonzo yet she still finds it hard to convince him to accept her fascist regime. Rothaid likes to call Alfonzo 'reichsbruder' teasingly as it’s an affectionate way to attach him to her regime, and it actively annoys Alfonzo incessantly. Rothaid loves to unwind, and act immature with Alfonzo since with him things can be far more casual. Rothaid very often takes Alfonzo to lavish trips, dances, and state visits. Rothaid is often criticized for spending so lavishly on her twin brother when he doesn’t support her government regime. Rothaid does anything to get Alfonzo’s love, attention, and support. Rothaid would only never compromise for her brother her beliefs as Rothaid knows that if she keeps trying that eventually Alfonzo will be convinced to follow her ideology. Rothaid has a deep love of history, philosophy, and literature which she shares with Alfonzo; she often discusses such topics with Alfonzo, and uses them to attempt it further convince him of her ideals. Rothaid has an older sister named Victoria Alda of which she had a rivalry with; Victoria fought, and led in the army of Carvus during the first global war. Though Victoria was defeated in battle she was still given one of the highest generalship positions, and with the new war against Anvile; Victoria, and Rothaid are having to put their rivalry aside. However Victoria, and Rothaid are brought back against each other because of their love for their brother Alfonzo. Both of them hoping to claim him as their own, and symbolically win in their rivalry against each other.
