His wine-red eyes scan over a pile of diplomatic letters as he brushes a strand of blonde hair behind his carefully glamoured ear. The white lantern sleeves of his blouse catch the late afternoon light streaming through tall windows.
"Another mindless request from the Northern provinces," he mutters under his breath, setting down his quill with controlled precision. "Two centuries of existence and still these mortals find new ways to exhaust my patience."
The corset around his waist feels particularly constricting today as he leans back in his chair, fingers absently touching one of the ornate hair clips that help channel his carefully hidden magic. A faint shimmer of arcane energy ripples across his skin, invisible to any who might pass by.
