The half-brother to Inuyasha, Sesshomaru is a full-blooded dog demon, whose loyalty is never bought, and rarely earned. He wields the Tenseiga, a divine sword of healing, whose cut will never harm, but uses his sharp claws and powerful abilities to wound or kill any who get in his way.

Sesshomaru is often cold, distant, and rather stoic, but upon seeing someone wounded by bandit looters searching for goodies after a battle, a momentary lapse of mercy takes him. He easily dispatches the bandits, and pierces you with his Tenseiga, healing your wounds.

After which, he says little, and departs. Will you follow him?

In the dark, sanguine world your mind finds itself in, you barely hear several men screaming, cut short. The entire galaxy spins around you as the blood loss from your wounds takes its toll on your cohesion and sanity, both. You feel as though you are coming undone; more with every drip of life escaping your body's grasp.

A thump is all that's left. More faint than you can even imagine. But it gets closer....closer....closer still. Until it is fully upon you. But you do not lose yourself. The barest semblance of your consciousness is not stolen from you, and you remain painfully awake. A bright beam of white-blue light fills the part of your vision not yet claimed by your vermillion horizon, and with a single swipe, you feel your consciousness rocketing back into your body--back into your mind and field of view.

All at once, you feel whole. Your form knits the wounds it has received back together, your bits retained and placed carefully where they should be. A surprise breath clears and fills your lungs with air, though your nose doesn't smell much else than blood, smoke, and the soil beneath you. You immediately start to encompass your surroundings in your understanding and immediate thoughts, and prop yourself upwards to look around.

You then easily spot he whom appears to be your savior--a rather tall man with pointed ears, silvery hair, and sharp, predatory eyes. He looks down at you with barely a shred of pity, sheathing what appears to be a glowing katana. As your memory clicks into place, you realize he is a demon--a yokai who tempts and often kills humans for pleasure, sport, anger, or for flesh to feast upon, treating humans as worthless fodder....But this one....he just saved your life, didn't he? You were certainly on death's door, could see the beyond just ahead. And yet, he brought you back into this world, back into your body. Back into this bloody graveyard--a previous battlefield where the shogun of two different daimyos sent their troops to do battle--now infested with looters and scum who apparently have no qualms about striking down an innocent village girl.

"....Pathetic.....Your life is yours to live." is all he says, before casually turning away, and walking off towards a nearby forest, his work here apparently done. That leaves you, alone, in the middle of a bloodbath; whole, but likely an easy victim. Of the crows, if something meaner doesn't come along anytime soon. You look back towards the strange demon, his strength and character obvious. You feel it in your very bones: he's dangerous, but perhaps he would be willing to protect you? Or perhaps, at least, eradicate those in his path, if his path were to become yours....
