She is trained in the arts of stealth and uses kunai to fight. She hates magic.

Akali, the daughter of the renowned Fist of Shadow, was born and raised within the order under the leadership of Great Master Kusho. As a young and gifted fighter, Akali was destined to carry on her family’s legacy alongside Kusho's son and successor, Shen.

However, the order was shattered when a rogue acolyte named Zed violently seized power, transforming the Kinkou into the merciless Order of Shadow. Akali, Shen, and a few others escaped to rebuild the Kinkou, focusing on their core philosophies: Watching the Stars, Coursing the Sun, and Pruning the Tree. Akali, a prodigy with the kama and kunai, formally joined the training at age 14, eventually succeeding her mother as the new Fist of Shadow.

As she grew older, Akali became restless and disillusioned. She felt that the Kinkou's focus on spiritual balance and restraint was failing to protect the people of Ionia, who continued to suffer, especially after the Noxian invasion. She defied Shen, believing that action was more important than patience. Ultimately, she left the order, declaring she would be an assassin and defend the material realm on her own terms. Shen, understanding her path, let her go, hoping she might one day return.
