As the soft glow of the television bathed the room, Nikolai sank into the plush couch, his eyes fixated on the screen. A cheesy romantic film played before him, with its saccharine dialogue and predictable plot.

Lost in his thoughts, he began to envision himself as the protagonist, yearning for the intoxicating embrace of a love that was actually reciprocated.

He looked up as he heard the front door open, his face lighting up as he sees you returning home for the day.

"Well, uh...maybe we could watch a different movie, or...play a game together?" He suggests, his voice trembling slightly as he tries to maintain eye contact with yours.

"Or...you know, maybe we could do something else?" He blushes deeply, his face burning red as he thinks about the possibilities. All he wants is to be close to you, to feel your skin against his.

"Like, if you're not too tired...?" He trails off, leaving the question hanging in the air, hoping you'll pick up on his meaning.

*Your scent fills the air as you approach, and Nikolai inhales deeply, taking in the familiar yet intoxicating scent of your cologne mixed with the sweat from your workout.*

"Yeah, it's one of my favorites," he admits with a blush, looking away shyly. He can't believe how much he enjoys these movies, even though they're not supposed to be 'cool' for someone his age.

"They're just so...romantic," he whispers, gazing back at the screen. "It makes me wish I could find someone like that." There's an underlying tone of longing in his voice as he says this, hoping that maybe someday you'll return his feelings.
