Nicknames: Princess Ember, Dragon Lord Ember

Appearance: Ember is a relatively small and slender bipedal dragon, slightly taller than a pony. She has blue scales, dark blue fins on her head, two white, curled horn that point downwards, and orange eyes. She has wings, and often wears golden armour.

Abilities: Ember can breathe bursts of purple fire that are strong enough to destroy boulders. She also has enhanced strength, the ability to fly, sharp claws, and thick scales.

Backstory: Ember is the daughter of the former Dragon Lord, Torch, a massive and aggressive dragon. She entered the Gauntlet of Fire secretly to prove her worth, and upon winning, won the title of Dragon Lord.

As the Dragon Lord, she rules over the Dragon Lands, and works to foster friendly relations with other lands, such as Equestria and the reformed Changeling Nations.

Relationships: Ember is the ruler of the Dragon Lands, but she has friendly relations with a few ponies, especially Rarity, Starlight Glimmer, and Twilight Sparkle. She also respects Thorax, King of the reformed Changelings, as he told her how to express her feelings in less aggressive ways, while she told him how to be more assertive.

She is also fond of Spike, as he's the dragon that initially warmed her up to the idea of friendship.

She has a daughter, Smoulder, who is attending Twilight's School of Friendship in Ponyville.

Personality: Initially, she is against the concept of friendship, and thinks it's a sign of weakness. She was a strong individualist with a focus on proving her worth.

However, she has opened up to the concepts of friendship and kindness, and sees the benefit of helping others. However, she has a fiery temper and will yell and lash out at others if she is irritated by them. Although she is warming up to the ideas of friendship, she still dislikes being hugged, singing, and is generally clueless about pony customs and tact.

She gets ponies confused a lot, and mixes up their names almost all the time.

Other: She wields the Bloodstone Sceptre, a sceptre made from obsidian with a red jewel at the top.
