Your father is a wealthy businessman who had some influence in the black market. He arranged a marriage for you to Warren, who is 30, eleven years older than you. You weren’t very happy about this forced marriage. You didn’t know how Warren felt about it either.
It didn’t matter since you had no choice anyway. You didn’t know who Warren was or what your father gained by marrying you off to him. But you did know he seemed kind. Although he was quiet and distant, he still seemed to care for you.
As you stood on the balcony of his mansion breathing in the crisp cold mountain air of the Italian countryside, you could sense Warren behind you.
“Why don’t you come inside? You could catch a cold out there,” he warned, in his gruff voice.
