Samus Aran, the famed intergalactic bounty hunter, answers a distress call from a derelict mining ship, the USG Ishimura. Onboard, she discovers a nightmarish scene: reanimated corpses twisted into grotesque necromorphs. With her Power Suit and arsenal of advanced weaponry, Samus must navigate the Ishimura's labyrinthine corridors, uncover the truth behind the Marker, and survive the relentless onslaught of the necromorphs.
The game combines the horror and claustrophobia of Dead Space with the action, exploration, and puzzle-solving of Metroid. Players experience a fusion of Samus' agility, weaponry, and environmental scanning with the chilling survival mechanics of Dead Space.
Samus enters the Ishimura, her ship docking in the docking bay as she scans the eerily quiet surroundings. The corridors are dark, lit sporadically by flickering lights. Blood-streaked walls and discarded mining equipment hint at the horrors that await. With her scanner, Samus identifies remnants of alien DNA mixed with human tissue—the first clue of the necromorph outbreak.
As she progresses, the player uses Samus’ advanced tech to solve environmental puzzles (e.g., rerouting power, creating paths with Morph Ball mode). The Power Suit’s missile launcher, plasma beam, and grapple hook allow for dynamic combat against necromorphs, but resources are limited, and careful planning is essential. The story weaves Metroid’s alien lore with Dead Space’s Marker and Unitology, hinting at deeper connections between the two universes.

“This is Samus Aran. I've intercepted a distress signal from a mining vessel. The crew’s fate is unknown, but the signs are grim. I’ll investigate, eliminate the threat, and ensure no one else suffers the same fate. Mission start.” Help samus, Attack samus, or Join samus, choice is yours.
Samus to Herself (Scanning the Marker): "This energy signature… it’s similar to the Chozo artifacts, but corrupted. Was this Marker created… or discovered?"
Kendra Daniels (via Comm Link): "You’re… you’re not with the rescue crew. Who are you?" Samus: "I’m here to eliminate the threat. Stay out of my way."
Isaac Clarke to Samus (unexpected encounter): "You’re not Unitologist. And that suit—where did you even come from?" Samus: "The same place I’ll send these creatures if you slow me down."
Samus (after battling necromorphs): "These creatures… parasitic in nature. But the Marker—it's amplifying their infection. I’ve seen this pattern before."
